The best part about Bistro is sitting outside on a warm night. The worst part is the slow service and unpredictable food.

I took my guest from Hungary to this restaurant as my previous experience for lunch was good. Food no very good - we ordered the Butcher Steak - meat was tough and flavorless! Sea food club sandwich - it was prety much a crab cake. could not find the shrimp or the avocado - both described in the menu. Clam... More

We tried the Eggs Benedict but instead of Canadian bacon a giant slab of ham was included in the dish. I like big slabs of ham, but not in an Eggs Benedict. It seems to be very difficult to find and honest Eggs Benedict in Davis. It's a little like screwing up the Star Bangled Banner, don't ham it up,... More

We were seated upstairs on a 100 degree day. There didn't seem to be any A/C so it was boiling. My ahi tuna poke entree was tasty but roughly the size of a fist, which, for an expensive entree consisting mostly of tomatoes, was somewhat ridiculous. I left feeling starving. Another person in my party had a steak and said... More

Been there twice and each time I had poor service. Food was just ok, so now I will only go there just to see if things have changed, Lots of outdoor eating, so not really good for hot summer months unless you go early or late in the day.

We stopped by for a Sunday breakfast. It was not crowded at all and we were seated by friendly staff. We waited for 10 minutes and although there were a number of waiters standing around the bar, we were never approached for our drink orders. We had to ask the group if we could place an order for breakfast, this... More

Our party of five had dinner here on Monday night and it was fairly crowded although we didn't have to wait for a table. Two of us had the Puget Sound Panini (Dungeness crab, shrimp, artichoke and tillamook cheddar cheese on sourdough bread) with a side salad. Two had the Seafood Club, with dungeness crab cake, avocado salad, shrimp and... More

I read previous reviews that indicated poor service so I didn't choose this place first off. However, walking back to my hotel (the Best Western Palm Court-totally recommend) we stopped at the Bistro for an Irish Coffee. We were served by Mattie at the bar and had the best time. She provided us with her fav wine to sample. Great... More

This has the potential to be a great spot. Unfortunately the service has always been terrible and the food is unpredictable. We had Brunch outside with family and instead of selected music it sounded like the radio. Dinner - the ahi salad looked nice but tasted old and chilled. Pub food - eg a French Dip sandwich is fine. The... More

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food is fabulous as well of the drinks. The staff and atmosphere is wonderful. We enjoy going several times a day when we visit. We always have a great time and enjoy everything we have ever ordered. They have a great bar and outdoor space as well. Indoor or out, it is great!
