Great sandwiches

This is a soup, salad, and sandwich kind of place. Everything is fresh. Prices are $11-16 for a sandwich. Not cheap but tasty. We ate at lunchtime. This is a small restaurant with dining outside when warm. A simple restaurant with good food.

The Mustard Seed is a longstanding Davis icon and that alone gives you an idea of the reliability factor. In a town where many eating establishments change like the seasons, the Mustard Seed is always a great pick. Lovely interior atmosphere, with a choice (weather permitting) of dining indoors or out on their cozy back patio. Located in the heart... More

My client invited me to lunch here. Even though I have seen this place numerous times, I have not found the chance to go in and try it. Thanks to my client. Now, I have another place to refer my friends to. I usually do not order soup, but I ordered because it was the lowest price on the menu... More

recommended by the hotel, this seems to be a fairly upscale joint, offering a bit of sophistication compared to the basic student fare found in Davis. pricey but very good. we were a party of four and each enjoyed their meals. My crab stuffed trout was excellent.

We decided to try our luck without reservations and we were successful... Arrived right at opening. Dinner was superb! The lobster gnocchi is very flavorful and rich and the scallops in coconut curry Was just right, very light and full of flavor, not a heavy curry sauce. The bread pudding was good, a little dry but the chocolate made up... More

Davis, CA is the home of the University of California at Davis, and has many eateries typical of a college town. Mustard's is not one of them. Go to Mustard's with an appetite for really good food. If the weather is at all typical, you can sit on the pleasant outdoor deck located behind the restaurant. The wine list is... More

The restaurant has a comfortable and intimate setting. The service was attentive, and the food was excellent. I started with the Caesar salad then I had the gnocchi with lobster. Both were delicious!

Nice atmosphere with pleasant patio for good weather, warm interior otherwise. Food is very good, with changing menu of sophisticated dishes at a price that is not cheap, but less than other more pretentious restaurants. Service is always friendly and attentive.

We came here after reading about it on TripAdvisor - beautiful setting - we sat outside - this could be Sonoma - both lamb chops and trout stuffed with crabmeat are delicious !

The restaurant came recommended by conference organizers so my wife and I went one evening. Entering was a welcome respite from the hot July sun. Ordered wine and beer and then sat down to some excellently prepared cuisine. this is quite a step up from other recommended restaurants in the town. The chefs subtle meshing of flavors and textures across... More
