A cozy table service or takeout traditional French Bistro place with indoor and lovely outdoor seating since 1992.Open everyday for Breakfast and Lunch with an extensive menu featuring a lot of Parisian specialties, serving generous portions including a kid menu for the little ones.We serve Wine and Beer plus weekend Champagne specials, serving also all kind of Coffee drinks from Cappucino to machiato etc...Free Parking is available all along the street plus we have a back private parking lot. We are located in the heart of Dana Point, 1 mile above the harbor and 5 minutes from all major resorts such as Ritz Carlton, St Regis, Marriott.

Just okay, but an attentive staff and owner, great patio music

The food LOOKS incredible. A lot of care goes into it, you can tell. However, the kitchen needs to use seasoning! My crab omlette had no flavor whatsoever.. I had to open it up and add salt and pepper to it to just tell the difference between the crab and the tomatoes. The chicken in my husband's croissant sandwich was bland and dry and there was no moisture on the sandwich. He had to ask for more dressing for the side salad as well as add that to his sandwich. I gave him the avocado from my omelette to help give his sandwich some more moisture. Latte and pastries are delicious.

They have a little bit of everything on their menu and most everything has a French flair. The omlettes are huge and can definitely feed a very hungry person, two people, or have another meal at home. I got the crimini mushroom, brie, & spinach omlet...absolutely fantastic and so packed full of ingredients with a delicious hollandaise. All of the items on their menu sound fantastic...breakfast and lunch. Service was friendly and helpful. Cute atmosphere, including outdoor seating.

Exceptional Service AND Food!

We just had an amazing experience at Bonjour Cafe. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the omelet special with smoked pork — which was awesome. I had the asparagus, sun dried tomatoes and Brie eggs in puff pasties topped with hollandaise sauce. It was divine! The service was also exceptional. The manager, maître d’, and servers all came by our table to say hello and make sure everything was fine. We definitely will be back. Thank you!

A friend and I recently dined for lunch and have to admit that I was very disappointed. My turkey sandwich was very underwhelming with just sliced deli turkey not fresh like I expected. The baguette was so hard it was truly difficult to eat. The quiche was lukewarm and completely soggy on the bottom. Very sad for the price that lunch cost

Nice decor and ambiance , but we stood outside with another party for about 10 minutes and no one ever came to seat us. We made eye contact with a couple different employees. Another group got up from their table and came to the host stand just to grab menus. We left…

Things have changed

Our meal was pretty bad. My omelette was weirdly soggy and the potatoes were old and soft. Not what it used to be. So sad to see this happen. We loved this restaurant.

We stopped my wife and me to drink an expresso coffee in this Nice restaurant Francais ( just the name)....nice welcome but the waiter or manager may be, wasn,t very happy because we asked just 2 expressos......and not a meal..... When arrive the time to paid, my surprise was the price ......10. 75 dollars !!!!!!! I saw insiste on the blackboard the price for expresso single was 2.99 dollars..... When I asked what is the différence, the manager explained than the blackboard wasn,'t A good price but an old price..... THIS RESTAURANT IS MANAGED BY THE BAD PEOPLE....DON'T STOP AT THIS PLACE... IT'S NOT FOR 4 DOLLARS BUT I F I TRAVEL IN THIS NICE COUNTRY, IS NOT TO BE RECEIVED LIKE THAT.... NICE PLACE, BAD MANAGER

Horrible Service & Management

Very disappointed in our meal and service. I ordered the mixed berry crepes without the jam. My order came out with the jam preserve smothered inside. I just wanted the berries with a bit of whipped cream on top. I received two crepes with ONE sliced strawberry, no other fruit, and a ton of whipped cream. I took two bites since that's the only bit of fruit there was and the rest was plain crepes. We sat without coffee for so long because they had only two waiters serving patrons on the inside & outside of the restaurant. My review is honest and unbiased yet the owner attacked my review on Yelp because he didn't like my honest constructive criticism. You would think he would choose to take it under advisement. Horrible management as well.

Beautiful French Brunch Faire

Small restaurant with an extensive menu. So many goodies to try and decide what to have. Portions are reasonable to large. All your favorites from crepes, quiche, to Benedict's served in a puff-like pastry. If in doubt as to what to order, I suggest one of their crepes with a side order of fruit. I do not think you can go wrong.
