This is a legendary place. Nixon was a regular. The food and decor has never changed. Great carnitas, enchiladas, and sopas.

We stopped in at Olamendi's after a visit to the Dana Point beach, and sat at the Presidential table, featuring photos of Regan and Nixon frequenting the establishment. We enjoyed a pitcher of margaritas for $28, enchiladas and tacos featuring fresh seafood.

Only been here two times just for drinks and apps. We really liked it sat on the bar stools looking across the street at the ocean. Nice relaxing not too noisy since it right off the busy Hwy.

I came in for lunch with my (grown up) Son and Daughter. The three of us ordered (3) entrees and a bowl of soup ($47 worth food) and simply asked that our chips be refilled. After all, we got the same size basket of chips as if there was only -1- of us at the table. The nice waitress (Claudia)... More

With a "Day of the Dead" motif, this place is the real thing! Great food, friendly staff! The place was crowded, but the service was quick.

Great Mexican food served in a unique atmosphere with lots of mementos, photos, and Day of the Dead decorations everywhere. They have an excellent vegan menu on top of the many other offerings and everything we tried was great, including the seasonal pumpkin pie cheesecake!

Tonight we dined at Olamendi's Mexican Restaurant which is situated next to the resort where we've been staying for a week. Don Jorge Olamendi, the original owner and proprietor opened the restaurant in 1973. The restaurant is very unique with a lot of history and culture since it contains "Calacas" paintings and life-size figures that Don Jorge collected from all... More

We have eaten here many times over the years. This used to be great, but the food is not as "crisp" as it once was. Great atmosphere and location. Parking CA n be difficult as it is limited and tight.
