We live locally in Cypress and have been to this restaurant several times before and enjoyed the experience. This time there was MSG in the garlic noodles. I am so disappointed. Since we picked up, I didn’t know til I had the food at home....If you’re going to use MSG, at least state it so I don’t feel illMore

Visiting from Northern California, we found this place to grab a lunch while meeting up with a long lost friend. My son had the ramen, which he loved. My husband had the BBQ short ribs. It had an interesting, in a good way, taste. I...probably would have liked it more if I wasn’t thoroughly enjoying my garlic noodles with filet mignon. I loved every bite of it!! The lychee spritzer was so refreshing!More

Been excited to try this new place that open in the neighborhood. Came two different times and one thing is for sure the customer service is good. Staff is friendly and attentive. It’s a small place but manages to get everyone through rather it’s dine...in or take out. Menu is small not to many but options/variety. So far we have tried: -Popcorn Chicken: Wasn’t to impressed seems like it’s just leftover pieces that got fried up and then dusted with some kind seasoning. -Cajun Garlic Fries: probably my favorite the combination of cajun and garlic are meant to be. -BBQ Pork Bun: baby size snack waste of time -Salmon Plate: Sautéed mushrooms delicious, good portion, cooked well nice glaze and the garlic noodles goes well together. -Tom Yum Soup: although this had plenty of shrimp it was so sweet and not at all like tom yum added some of the habanero sauce they have and didn’t help. It did come with a nice portion of jasmine rice. -Baby Back Udon Soup: this is a great soup for when your not feeling well, if it’s cold or just want a good bowl of udon. Personally food is on the sweet side.More

Instead of traditional Inn N Out for cold post-rain Valentine’s Day, we decided to check out Urban Cup Cafe near home. To get our feet wet, we ordered several appetizers to share for a light early dinner (~4:30pm we’re the 1st dinner diners). We ordered...cha siu bao (3); gyoza (dumplings); house salad w/vinaigrette; garlic fries; roasted Brussel sprouts. Just right amount & very tasty! Cashier/server accommodated our questions (mostly re: are the dishes spicy? I can’t do spicy). Chile-lime vinaigrette with Brussel sprouts not spicy at all—very delicious & filling! Gyoza were cooked well (not too hard, oily, or rubbery)—side sauce looks spicy but it’s not (for those who like spicy, there is a condiment station w/habanero sauce, etc). Some may comment cha siu bao are small, but for us it was fine, more meat, slightly crispy outside which was pleasant. House salad w/Asian vinaigrette, crispy sprinkles, pink onion(?), sliced radish was good contrast to meat appetizers. Garlic fries (says Cajun, which you can have, but thankfully they gave us the option of no Cajun spice) came out last, piping hot & crisp w/catsup on side—wisely they put minced garlic on the side so we can modify how much or little to include fresh garlic with the fries. Brussel sprouts toward bottom of bowl was getting salty, but drinking cold water took care of that. We were surprised to finish eating everything! Food served on cool-looking dishes. There’s casual background music but thankfully not too loud. Both gender-neutral & wheelchair-accomodating restrooms were clean & had the powerful hot-air hand dryer. I haven’t checked on TripAdvisor but noted restaurant owner Aidan is responsive to client posts on yelp—if there is concern or problem they encourage customers to bring those up to staff/management. These 5 dishes were less than $30 (tax included). We plan to return & try other dishes.More

We came to this new restaurant on a Saturday night for a quick bite without a long wait. We ordered/paid at the counter, got a number, found a table, and soon a server delivered the food. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the...food; way better than we had expected. The chili lime cauliflower and roasted Brussels sprouts ($9 each) were both very tasty and appealing. The entrees (we tried the filet mignon, salmon and rotisserie chicken) @ a reasonable $12 each were all well-crafted and delicious. They each came with a generous portion of garlic noodles which we chose as base in lieu of rice, plus a green salad. The habanero sauce was spicy and good! The kimchi side order was done right as well. The atmosphere is clean, modern and comfy (7 Tables + a large communal table). Parking was easy. While the entree was a bit too sweet, the caliber and pride in the food preparation was evident. Overall it was a very satisfying dining experience at a casual neighborhood eatery on this occasion, definitely worth a 4.6 rating.More
