I’ve been hunting for a good Chinese restaurant in Sonoma County for forever. I finally hit the jackpot. Growing up in the East Bay I got pretty spoiled so I’m rather particular. Never had a bad meal here and I go here at least once a month. My hubby and I were doing a number of errands the other day and decide to have dinner here on our way back to Marin. We ordered the dinner for 2. Included sweet and sour pork, cashew chicken, chowmein, soup and spring rolls for about $24. We got so much food we dropped the leftovers at our friends house and fed them to. At time when it’s hard to get a good bang for your buck this place is a great value.

Visiting our daughters and grandkids, so there was a bunch of us that were hankering for some good Chinese food. China Village was the right choice. We ordered the family dinner for6 and it was terrific - large servings and very tasty stuff. Do wish the prawns had tasted fresher and less like farmed variety. Sweet and sour pork, cashew chicken, and broccoli beef were wonderful, esp. the latter. We weren't big soup eaters that night, but thought they did well. Bad fortune cookies, though. Chow mien was promising, but a bit dry. Ordering takeout was efficient, but a bit pricier than expected. Parking lot was big and the property looked well cared for. Very convenient location to highway and main roads. The food was hot and ready when I pulled in, and nicely packaged. The corrugated window at the front door was weird, however, because basically you can't see the person who is handing you your food or running your credit card - they are just kind of a blur. Strange, but isn't that what the pandemic is all about? If I get hungry for Chinese food next visit, I will choose this place. (p.s. hopefully they will have indoor dining available by then!)

I ordered Mongolian beef in pork chow, ME to go. When I got home 20 minutes later. The Chow Mein was dry and pasty, like it is when you have it a day or two. They must have warmed it up from prior cookings. The Mongolian beef, which usually is top notch. The vegetables were limp. and the foods. had a stale flavor to it, which is a disappointment because it's one of my favorites in the North Bay. I think they'll be better to cook food fresh every time and not save it just because they have it left over.. I will not order food from them to go again. If I. had received that in the restaurant, I would have sent it back And I have never sent food back.. JGS

Incomplete order refused to make right. Rip off

Rudest people on the planet when they messed up my order and refused to refund me for items I didn't receive! My order, along with about 7 or 8 other people's orders were over 30 minutes after expected pick up time. Spoke to 2 or 3 women who acted as though they could not understand me. Finally, I got a man who spoke English and he was RUDE!!! Kept talking over me, louder and louder. Told me I could come back and get it (30 minutes round trip after a long day, ummm no!) I had already waited 40 minutes for my order. Then he told me I could have a free order on my next visit. First of all, I paid for it, it wouldn't be 'free'. Next visit? That's presumptuous, especially after such a horrible customer service experience! I gave him a second chance to redeem himself. He said he would have to talk to the ow er Bout a refund. I knew they were busy and asked if he would return my call at 9:30 pm after things quieted down. He said he would...of course, he didn't. I can't tell you how the food was, bc I didn't want it after trying to talk to him. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I’m visiting from Massachusetts and went to China Village w/a friend (went there on a previous trip to CA). I ordered prawns w/walnuts. The best I have ever eaten. Also had veggie pot stickers and my friend had a different prawn dish. Nice place very clean spacious I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our two previous trips here, one dinner, one lunch, were very good, at least a 4. This week we phoned in for a pick up dinner. It was sitting on the counter when we arrived 15 minutes later. The food was pretty disappointing. My wife ordered orange beef, which the menu said was pork??? So my wife said she wanted beef, not pork. It was pork, and not particularly tasty pork. We asked for extra crispy walnut prawns, and they were not prepared that way. The mixed appetizers were dried out, probably sat under a heat lamp most of the day. We may go again, but no more takeout.

Consistently excellent presentation, freshness and service. Some staff are challenged with English but they learn very quickly. Lunch special 7 days per week 11:30-3pm. Pic shows scallops in garlic sauce served with chow mein and choice of soup on lunch special with fried wonton or egg roll appetizer (changes daily). Best chili paste in the West

¡¡¡WARNING!!! FOUND CLAW IN MY FOOD! Disgusting!! I ordered triple crown which had chicken beef and shrimp with veggies. I was almost through with my food and bit on something hard. Returned the same night and asked for a refund of the food and they said they wouldn't give me a full refund because I ate half. Then the chef threw away the item to hide it. All I have to say is nothing I ordered would have had a claw that long. Nor should it be in my food I eat!!! ******CONSUMER BEWARE******

This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the North Bay, in my experience. The food is well cooked although admittedly not the best. There is a large variety of dishes to choose from on the lunch menu in the just under $9 range: small eggroll, hot & sour soup, entree of your choice and fortune cookie. Unlike some others, they do charge for hot tea. The service is so-so but not rude or indifferent as in some other establishments. Overall, I would give it a return visit if in the area, which is very close to Lowe's Home Improvement just adjacent to Hwy 101.

WOW! This place is fantastic! First, it's easily accessible & has plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is decorated very nicely, & it's very comfortable. The people that work there are very friendly, & helpful. Now, for the food. Even though this was our first time here, we ordered a lot of takeout because we were having family in from San Francisco. I myself am 5 th generation S.F. so I am very particular about Chinese food. Here in Sonoma County I have only found one place that was pretty good. But, this place is off the hook. Every dish we ordered was absolutely perfect. For appetizers we ordered the B.B.Q. Spareribs, egg rolls, crab puffs, salt & pepper chicken wings, Shang Hai steamed dumplings, & spicy wonton. Everything was very good, but the wings were excellent. And something that I have never seen anywhere else except S.F., was the Shang Hai dumplings & spicy wontons. If you visit here you must get both these items, what a special treat. The dumplings were so flavorful, and I loved the peanut sauce with green onions on the spicy wontons. Everything was so fresh tasting. Everyone raved about the food. Then for the main dishes we ordered Black Pepper Beef Steak Sizzling Platter, ( outrageously good ), Hunan Chicken, ( delicious ), sweet & sour pork, ( yummy crispy pork, & tender veggies & pineapple ), Mongolian Lamb, ( the meat was so tender & the sauce was a tastebuds delight ), combination chow fun, ( I usually get chow mein but wanted to try this dish. The noodles are wider, & the sauce, meats, shrimp, & veggies were out of this world! Everyone loved it ). We will be back again, this time to dine inside & try other dishes. This is now one of my top favorite restaurants in Sonoma County. I no longer have to go to S.F., for excellent Chinese food.

We love to eat here because they have the best Chinese food in town! The restaurant is big so there's usually seating. I love the walnut prawns in cream sauce and their lemon chicken is amazing!
