We initially went with a local friend. It was awesome so two nights later a group of 6 of us went for dinner. It has a great view of San Diego across the water. The service both times could not have been better. And the food - wow. We had several appetizers, my favorite was the tomato and mozzarella (caprese... More

My husband and I ate here while on vacation in Coronado. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We were sat at about 800 on a Friday night. The food was outstanding. Very authentic to the Tuscan region of Italy. And the service was impeccable. Our server was Franco. He was so relatable and genuine. All of this... More

Had higher expectations of the food from friends who recommended the restaurant. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it's not fantastic. Both my wife and my order arrived warm leaning towards cold and the taste in both was rather bland but not terrible. The restaurant's ambience is nice for a couple's dinner.

This restaurant was very accommodating for our large group, and made us feel welcome. Food is very good and portions are large, so go hungry.

We've experienced Happy Hour and Lunch and now Dinner at Il Fornaio and we have to say everything is consistently very good to excellent - service and food wise and great wines to select from. We asked and received a nice table outside overlooking San Diego. Lovely evening and friendly service. Suffice to say, we'll be coming back.

We made reservations for a nice evening. Since we recently visited Italy, maybe we had high expectations, such a disappointment. I've never had Raviolli that was huge doughy pillows of dough with no sauce, then Scallopini with no sauce?? Really?? So disappointed

We were 2 high school friends meeting after many years on Coranado from South Carolina and Wisconson. We wanted Italian and went here by a locals advuce. We made a reservation one hour before seating and arrived a half hour early. We enjoyed a fun coketail at bar and delicious brusetta; fun bartenders. Our hostess came and asked if we... More

Wow can't beat the view of the San Diego bay! We were lucky enough to be seated by the window and had an unbelievable view! The city was lit up brilliantly something out of a postcard. There was a walkway/bike path right outside the window and it was really neat to see people out walking and biking on such a... More
