Had the sausage stuffed ravioli and the minestrone soup for dinner. Both were very good. I had the small portion of the ravioli as we wanted to save room for dessert. Desserts were bread pudding and Zabaione. My wife and I split the bread pudding and our friends had the Zabaione. Everything was very good and flavorful.

We have been having lunch or dinner at Il Fornaio restaurants whenever they are located in places we travel for more than 10 years....we have never been disappointed and would recommend the Il Fornaio in Coronado as one of our favorites.... The ambiance and distinctive freshness and flavor of their food stands out over other Italian ristorantes and in the... More

Not very innovative and deceived by the quality of the food that was served, the food was also not very hot when it arrived. Nice view of San Diego but unfortunately the terrace and the benches are not very clean

Friendly staff, lovely location, great antipasti but then the main came and the chicken was raw inside. (2nd place we visited that served raw chicken)! The waiter replaced my chicken meal and the second one was also a bit raw. This seemed to be a common factor amongst out large party. Probably a nice place to eat otherwise but avoid... More

We were visiting Coronado the weekend of the Festival of Lights and did not realize this. The restaurant was full but we were able to get a seat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and professional. The service was a bit slow as it was extremely busy. Food was very good.

This restaurants breaks the myth: It serves delicious food in a fantastic atmosphere. My husband and I went twice. The first time for lunch. We had a bottle of the house pinot grigio, a salad and a pizza. They were all tasty. The pizza flavorful and the wine matched terrifically. We returned 1 evening later with two other guests. All... The food is fine and the service is good, but the menu is very limited, heavy on the pasta and pizza with only two fish, one meat, and one chicken entrees. The ravioli had an infinitesimally small paste of sausage filling. Definitely not good for anyone watching carb intake. The restaurant does have spectacular views of downtown San Diego across... I've been here several times and the food is really good. Authentic Italian food and the view is nice, too. We sat out in the patio and a guy proposed to his girlfriend. It was really sweet!
