We are regulars at Candelas but usually come for Happy Hour dining. This was a visit without reservations on a Saturday evening at around 7:30. We were a party of five and got plain lucky -- a party of ten had just cancelled so we were seated immediately and on the upper deck. It was a beautiful summer evening. Needless... More

We opted here as it's pretty much the first place you come to when you come off the boat. I also liked the options they supposedly had for gluten free. I opted for the gluten free pancakes with bananas but after cutting into them and taking a mouthful (which had to spit out) I had to send them back. They... More

We stopped here for breakfast one morning after a walk. We had to wait several minutes before someone was there to greet us and take us to a table. We ordered drinks - coffee and OJ for my husband and iced tea for me. After about 5 min they brought my husband's coffee and OJ but not my tea. After... More

Friday night date night with my honey! The weather was perfect, we arrived around 6pm, got a table right away right by the window where our view was San Diego Skyline and the boardwalk so we could people watch! Our server, Julio was right on top of things and was very patient with us as we didn't want to order... More

My husband and I have been to Candelas on many occasions. We have never been disappointed with the food or the service. This morning I had a spinach crepe which was the best crepe I have ever had anywhere. The view from Candelas cannot be beat and the servers go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.... We are here for breakfast everyday of our week log stay in Coronado. It was phenomenal every time. The young girls loved the pancakes and waffles, I loved the crepes, and others loved the Mexican breakfasts with potatoes, eggs, and beans. I also got my grandma and aunt a to-go salad (it is their house salad, can't remember the name).... More

We have been here for breakfast several times now and the food is always delicious. We were very very disappointed the last time though to find out that they do not have hashbrowns with their breakfast anymore. They have chunks of potato with a ton of peppers. I miss my hashbrowns.

My family and business associate from out of town wanted to eat in Coronado so I picked candelas. They have beautiful view of the bay, and the restaurant is open and bright. The menu had an array of items to choose from and we all had different items. All were excellent. Service was beyond our expectations and the morning started... More

Service was okay with nice free taco's, the steak I ordered was also very tender and juicy. The cheap (6$) margarita was awful! Definitely don't have that here.
