Beautiful resturant with a view of San Diego skyline. The staff is friendly and service was fast even though it was the Fourth of July and the island was packed. The nachos were the best I have ever had and I still crave the coconut mojito. They not only accommodated our request to dine outside but to also be by... More

We walked in after arriving on the ferry. Took five minutes to get seated (and the restaurant was not busy). Turns out that the hostess was sitting at the bar and she eventually decided to get up and see if anybody was waiting. With this opening, we decided to order drinks and guacamole and then go from there. The tortilla... More

Wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. Mojito was really really good. The queso sauce was good as were the chips and salsa. My Chile Rellano was excellent in a mole sauce. Unfortunately my wifes pollo mole chicken was not cooked the whole way through. Overall we enjoyed it, and could recommend it to other travellers.

Stopped in for margaritas. Ordered an Italian Margarita, but was lacking the characteristic Amaretto flavor. Our waiter said he would take it back, but we opted to keep it and order another one. The bartender came and spoke with us and the next drink we got was superb. We also order fish tacos and churros for dessert. All the food... More

This was a great find. We had breakfast there and everything we had was great. I had the molletes - Mmmmmm and the apple cinnamon waffles my daughter had were awesome, even the "plain" pancakes my son had were the best I've ever tasted. We went back for brunch on Sunday and what a spread they had! I highly recommend... More

That's right, all day happy hour at the bar and lounge area plus an amazing full menu in there dining area! I've head about the chicken or carnitas nachos, but finally tied them yesterday, look no further! The chips are crunchy till the end and they are stacked, enough to share for dinner along with 3 rib eye asada tacos!

We are regulars at Candelas but usually come for Happy Hour dining. This was a visit without reservations on a Saturday evening at around 7:30. We were a party of five and got plain lucky -- a party of ten had just cancelled so we were seated immediately and on the upper deck. It was a beautiful summer evening. Needless... More

We opted here as it's pretty much the first place you come to when you come off the boat. I also liked the options they supposedly had for gluten free. I opted for the gluten free pancakes with bananas but after cutting into them and taking a mouthful (which had to spit out) I had to send them back. They... More
