Unfortunately, we were expecting more from such a highly rated restaurant. The place was cute, with a casual vibe, but surprised us with how empty it was on a Thursday night at dinner time. Upon getting menus, we were a little thrown off by prices...which were not only higher than what we had seen online, but were also higher than what the atmosphere suggested. Service was very fast and polite, but very to-the-point and not as warm or talkative as many restaurants. The bread was good, but personally I don’t like when it’s served with plain olive oil- I’d much prefer if the olive oil was mixed with some sort of herb or seasoning blend. The side salads were disappointing small and plain with only two dressing choices. The redeeming point were the entrees themselves. DELICIOUS! Perfectly sized dinner portions. Fabulous food, excellent live music even on a Thursday!

By far the very best of quaint little Cloverdale. A very surprising find for those who need a more elegant meal with a great wine list. Chicken dishes were outstanding, and the tiramisu incredibly light with great rum flavor. Highly recommend this wonderful little place!.

Thanks for a wonderful evening!

We had such a wonderful dinner! Scallops, Eggplant Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala, all prepared deliciously, loved everything. The owners, Jose & Mary, are delightful. Cheers!

Terrible might be too strong a word

Terrible might be too strong a word, maybe lousy is strong enough. The pasta sauce tasted like it came out of a can, although I've seen Jose at work so it's clearly not, it just tastes like it. Being a local I would so like...this to be as good as it pretends to be, but it's not. A bunch of specials were rattled off by the waitperson, but with no prices and too quick to even follow. Uh, printers are cheap these days, maybe slip something in so people can actually look and decide? Service matched the food, lousy but pretentious. If you're looking for a nice wine country atmosphere, good, this is for you. If you're looking for good food, look elsewhere.More

Scallops are wonderful.

Haven't had a bad experience here ever. Family run and Jose and Mary are gems. I love the scallops, the lamb, when on the menu is tasty and awesome.

Good Food and Service

Good food and service, if somewhat rushed. A bit disappointed the menu was clear there were not substitutions and the server did not offer such when gently implying modifications would be appreciated.

Great dining experience

This restaurant is usually closed on Monday, so we were delighted they made an exception and were open New Year’s Eve. It is a classic Italian restaurant with a nice selection on the menu along with some specials – all at a reasonable price. Their...wine list is more than adequate and the food was fresh, well prepared and delicious. The service was warm and friendly and quick (almost too fast). Summary: Excellent food complimented by excellent service. Would definitely go there again.More

Excellence

The Thanksgiving dinner was out of this world. The service was outstanding too. I've never had such an experience while dining out. Everyone was very efficient and attentive. We've eaten there before and it too was wonderful.
