We had read the reviews and figured we would give it a try. Food was average, but spring rolls were delicious. I am always big on Pad Thai noodles but they were average.

Mea Kwan Thai Cuisine on third Ave in Chula Vista is one of the best kept secrets in San Diego County. They have a special marinated Prime Rib eye that is nothing that you have tried before! Sure they have great Thai Chicken and spicy stuff. However, Get down there and try the Rib Eye!

We ordered the Pad Thai (spice level 5 was spicy but still tasty), Spring Rolls and the Thai Tea. Everything was good. We visited in the late afternoon and the service and fast and friendly.

This place is never crowded even thought the Thai food and Thai atmosphere are fantastic, consistent, fast and friendly. We always get the fresh spring rolls that they call Heaven rolls. and of course Paid Thai,& Panang Curry. I've tried some of the salads, which are very interesting and filling. Our son in law gets the very very spicy and... More

I will not return to this restaurant. I love Thai food, but I like to eat good Thai- not so so food. The place is really run down. The seats are torn and old. There is no AC in the place, or the owner is too cheap to turn on. The waitress seem embarrassed by the condition of the booths.... More

So-so service, so-so food. Pricey for the meal. I love Thai food, this was not great. The waitress did not ask me how spicy I wanted my Drunken Noodle, the food was rather bland compared to a good Thai dish. Noodles were stuck together, overcooked as was the entire dish. Disappointing. There were only 2 other people i the place... More

As you walk in there is no type of comforting welcome! There is one person working and doing a 3 persons job..then as you get seated you get the menu thrown at you, taking awhile to order, menu is not properly explained. Not even asking " what would you like to drink"! The best is saved for last...not being aware... More

This restaurant was awesome! Among a myriad of Mexican restaurants and burger joints, you would not expect to find this place in the heart of downtown Chula Vista. Excellent service and the atmosphere is very fitting for a Thai establishment. Try the red curry with chicken.... outstanding food! And Thai iced tea is good with any meal. Highly recommend this... Went for lunch with my partner. Shared larb. Green chile sauce with calamari and topped it all off, with fried banana and green tea ice cream. It was great. You can name how spicy you want it from one to ten. And the food was really good. Will return.

That's why I go to this restaurant. I went there for mother's day. My family loved it. The steak is great! The "see you noodles" is good. The dessert is the amazing, the banana frozen spring roll is the best. I recommend to here on special occasions or just to enjoy a really good meal.
