This is a tiny hole in the wall place in a busy shopping center. It is only seafood, and there aren't too many tables, but it is worth coming here. The fish tacos are so good as well as the stingray tacos. They are cheap and good and with a Corona, heaven! Mon. thru Thur. they have happy hour specials that are totally worth it! Love this place!

I really like this location of the three in CV. They currently have a Mon-Thursday Happy hour that makes it a value purchase on those hot summer days when you dont feel like cooking. The food is fresh and always delicious. This location rarely has a long wait, its very basic perfect for kids. I mean basic like its not fancy but still very clean and comfortable. My recommendation is the fish ceviche and octopus tacos.

Service at this restaurant is poor. Restaurant itself is clean and the staff is friendly. My experience was soured by the fact that they left my to go order sitting for 15 min before they gave it to me, and then ended up giving me the wrong items. While waiting, I was sitting at a single table. A staff member asked me to get up and stand while I waited for my to go order so that another person could have that table, even though there were other tables available. It was just a bit awkward.

Food was very good .. BUT beware !! If u are seated on a table of 6 they will charge u an 18% SURCHARGE !! We had 3 adults, 2 children (12 & 4 year old) and 20 month baby in a highchair.. ridiculous !!

Mexican seafood! Excellent combination. I love the tacos here. The octopus taco is simple but very tender and delicious. Wash it down with a Michelada beer.

TJ Oyster Bar serves a range of Mexican dishes, beers and soft drinks. Had lunch at the Chula Vista location which is quite spacious and bright. We ordered a number of items, including the rock shrimp, a couple of the tostadas, fish tacos and shrimp tacos -- all of which I would recommend. Also check out their drinks menu which contains a few items that cannot be found everywhere.

There is a lot to like about TJ Oyster bar. The tacos are street style from TJ and only $1.50 and $1 at happy hour. Also they have some legit craft beer from TJ as well. I will be back.

Hubby and I have been here several times. He loves the Grilled Fish Burrito plate, and I love the Shrimp Ceviche Tostada. The Oysters are also very good and fresh. Small Fish Tacos but very good. You order at the counter and they bring you your food and drinks.The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Nice casual place to get fresh seafood.
