WHAT A NICE SURPRISE

Found this place by accident. Like that it is near the campus except that parking can be interesting. My server was super nice and she worked hard to meet my needs. I can tell you the Ceaser Salad was the best I have had in Chico. My dish was not out of a bag and reheated, it was fresh and... read more

I visit for lunch or dinner. Everything I've ever ordered has been fantastic. Out of town business apps., Franky's is one of my go-to places. Fresh house made soups and salad dressings. Creative cocktails and daily specials. My favorite is bay shrimp risotto. Franky's is where this local goes. Little sister restaurant to the fine dining, 5th Street Steakhouse.

Husband and I had an early dinner here yesterday. Just a spontaneous decision to stop as we were passing by. So glad we did!! We were greeted at the door immediately by one of the sweetest servers I have ever had. She was really a doll and was attentive and funny and made us feel so comfortable. Though we weren't... More

We went to Franky's after not being able to get into a fancier restaurant down the road. It was new year's eve and we wanted something nice. The salad was excellent and were made with house made dressings. The main course was also very good ( I had calzone). And the service was outstanding. While not as fancy as the... More

Went to Franky's for diner on a Saturday night. The Pizza was very good, lots of toppings! The past dishes were also very good, and Bread and dipping sauce were fresh and excellent. Clam Chowder served with my Chicken Parmigiana was very good. Service was pretty attentive, and the Saturday night drink special (2 long island ice teas for $10)... More

Franky's has the best and most reasonable happy hour - spaghetti/french bread, salad or scooter prawns or pizza's - all for under $7! We eat dinner here 3 nights a week, great atmosphere, friendly staff and sports TV!

Came here for the first time with my friend and her husband who frequently eat here. We were seated promply. Their table has a coating over it that makes things stick to it like glasses and plates. Weird. The server was averagely pleasant and friendly. Bread with olive oil was yummy! Had a ceasar's salad which was too sour for... More

We dined at Franky’s one evening with most of the family – about 17 people. Getting a reservation for that many folks can be challenging, and of course in a college town where most reviews cite this place as a good place for after-bar-hours pizza, I was a bit suspect before we arrived. I was wrong, plain and simple as... More

We had chicken piccata, baked ziti and chicken basilica. Came with salad of just lettuce or soup. They ran put of the clam chowder so we had red pepper soup - which was really good! The entrees were ok! The chicken dishes were too similar - only difference - capers and artichokes. Good size portions. Warm baked bread with olive... More

Having lived in Chico for eight years I grew accustomed to eating at Franky's in both the day and night hours. However, when I took my husband and a few of my sisters to this place we were all disappointed. Not only was the service terrible and included us being ignored with little to no people in the restaurant; but,... More
