Stopped here for a sandwich and was very happily surprised at the quality and taste. I had a tri tip sandwich and the meat was very tender and moist and on some of the best bread roll I have ever had. The sandwich came with...a salad, a deliciously homemade crisp pickle and roasted bell pepper. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich with asian cole slaw. This was also very yummy but a bit to spicy for me. Will be stopping again on my next trip thru town.More
I’ve been a patron of a Bacio’s for years and likely thousands of dollars in lunch and dinner takeout. Always consistently fresh, high-quality, and an elevated caliber of flavor in all their dishes. We visited this little deli-cafe between lunch and dinner. There are only two tables and a very small counter for eating. Most of the customers order takeout. The food is displayed at the front counter, and heated in a microwave if desired. We ordered chicken...marinated in red wine and dried fruit. We also had a quinoa, and a brown rice yam dish along with the freshest green salad, and also a kale cabbage salad. Everything was delicious and healthful. The only thing I didn't like was that the person who worked the cash register also patted down the green salad with her bare hands. Oh well, sometimes you just have to close your eyes a little.More
So, you don't go there for the ambiance or as a full service restaurant, but Bacio is the best kept lunch spot in Chico. Food is EXCELLENT. Only complaint is that they need a convection oven as opposed to a microwave, because the food doesn't...always come perfect. I eat here ALL the time, so I have pet peeves.More
We tried the take out option, and the food was good but lacked any unique character. Their website did not specifically state that the food would be served cold and you would have to warm it at home. Prices were reasonable.
Last weekend my co-facilitator and I had a 3 day retreat all women Nurture in Nature Retreat. Bacio's did the catering for this event. They not only gave us delicious, locally grown food to serve, but they helped us cater to a gluten free, dairy...free, healthy menu for our participants. The staff were very flexible and accomodating and helpful in every way to let us offer healthy food at a reasonable price. The women all loved the food and it was a relief to us as facilitators to offer such quality food all weekend.More
Bacio has been around for a while now and has a very nice menu, mostly featuring locally sourced ingredients. They update their offerings frequently on their website.
