Kind of an odd menu. You won't find standard breakfast diner fare here. Tends to be eclectic. Good thing is that whenever possible they use locally produced sustainable foods.

The spinach scramble and the Dragon (good for wheat allergy folks) were good. Adding 2 eggs cost an extra $2.55 and a side jelly was .75. I'm from NV so that was irritating, but I'm guessing lots of places in CA do that?

Friend and I had a great breakfast here. They have a lot of Mexican options, scrambles, pancakes, etc. Service was great and food was delicious. Portions are big as well. Cash only though!

I get to Chico every three years or so. Sin of Cortez is at the top of my list of places to eat at whenever I am in town. The service is good. The food is excellent. The space is conducive to meeting and chatting with long-lost friends. There is plenty of parking. The location on the Esplanade is close... More

Big portions of food all was pretty good. All berry pancakes were voted the best out of the dishes we had. Coffee bar...excellent service by our waiter and fast kitchen service. About $13 average per plate$3 average for coffee options. 10times better than an IHOP. Look for coupons..buy 1 get 1 1/2 off. Also they only accept cash or check.

I've never had a bad meal there. I usually have breakfast although they serve lunch too. The egg dishes are delicious & not run of the mill. The blackberry pancakes are also another favorite of mine. It can get very busy & you may have to wait to get a table. The coffee is AMAZING!

We went to breakfast with my mom because this is where she wanted to go. We walked in and immediately saw it was packed, but the front staff was pleasant and greeted us and made sure to tell us she was going to get everyone seated asap. So refreshing to have staff take a sec to make sure the patrons... More

The plates are big, the coffee is amazing and the food is out of this world! Whether you order the rosemary potatoes, their specialty pancakes or the breakfast sandwich, you'll leave there happy and full. I highly recommend bringing your family, friends or just a book and enjoy yourself. And yes, they do serve champagne and beer! All diet friendly,... More

I had heard about how great Sin of Cortez was. Always was a line, excellent food, etc. So we decided one Sunday morning to go ahead and sit through the 40 minute wait. First -- The coffee was good. Several people have commented on the quality of the coffee and I would agree with that. Not worth a 40 minute... More

With dishes like Papas Loco (creamy potatoes and black beans), blueberry cornmeal pancakes, and a host of delicious egg scrambles, everyone will find something yummy on the menu. Plus great coffee drinks.
