Found Hudson's by accident, was on a time table and the place we wanted was closed for restoration. I ordered the Texas Burger, Rare with Sweet Potato Fries and a couple of Corona Lights. Turned out the best hamburger I've had in a couple years....My wife ordered the Quesadilla, but it was too spicy for her food allergies. The manager fixed her a special order of non spicy hot wings which she ate and they were good. I had her quesadilla later and it was also good. Average lunch special and drink was about $15-$18. We will differently be back. Good service & good food.More

Finally got to try out Hudson's Gastropub and they did not disappoint! I ordered the Hudson's Burger and crispy fries. The burger was plenty big. They said it was a 1/2-pounder in the menu. The meat was delicious and the fixings tasty. The fries were...nice and crunchy and the waitress procured me some "special sauce" for dipping. Another yummy treat! The price seemed a bit steep at first but the generous portions made it worth it. Next time I'll cut the burger and take 1/2 of it home with me. BTW - Chris the bartender is an awesome guy!More

This is a good place to go for a family outing. Nothing amazing but food is OK and atmosphere is easy and relaxing. Hard to get a booth. Could use a few more menu items for non meat eaters.

So so menu. Not very broad. Not much food for the money. Odd presentation of Heuvos Rancheros. Left still hungry.

First time there we asked for a booth and were told they were reserved for 3 or more. It was actually a pretty slow day. Next time I wanted to order the meatloaf without the grilled onions. Nope! Waited at the door to be seated...for a tad bit too long.More

Delicious!!!!! I had the cucumber jalapeño Margarita to drink. Refreshing and spicy! I had the grilled romaine salad to start. It was tasty and light. For lunch my daughter and I shared the Piggy and Cheese and the Pesto cheese sandwich. I would recommend both....The tomato jalapeño soup was also amazing. My family had the Mac n cheese with pulled pork and loved it. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. I highly recommend!More

Had a VERY good lunch at Hudson't last Friday. I had some mahi tacos with an Asian salad. It was not a cheap lunch ($15.00 with the tip) but it was SO good. My friend enjoyed the cheese burger. The only downside of the experience...was slow service. The waiter should expect that a lot of patrons need to be back to work by 1:00 and should be vigilant about this rather than needing to be flagged down. Great food though. I'll go back again.More

The Hudson burger is a 1/2 pound burger and it is very good. The meat is moist not dried out. You can have regular fries which are reallly good or sweet potato fries.

I am not certain, but I think they are trying to be an upscale sports bar. Food is good, service also very good. Several TVs around if you are wanting to stay up with a ball game. Not as many as some sports bars, but...enough. I would put the cost of food and drinks at the upper end. And the wait staff does push the more expensive items. I would recommend it, but not if you are dining on a budget.More

I noticed this restaurant when I was going to get my haircut nearby. I'd never been in so after my haircut I went in and asked for a menu to go so I could look it over, later. I went back a couple of weeks...later after work and ordered a Caesar salad to go. The service was friendly and super fast. They offered me water to drink while I waited. The salad was very fresh and delicious. They gave me several white anchovies on the side and the dressing was great! I will return to try a burger.More

We were exhausted and hungry, didn't want to go anywhere but wanted take out, but not the usual takeout. Someone suggested a new place that was close by. I have to say it was awesome. While the hamburger was $14.00, it was THE best burger...I have ever had. I will definitely come back when we can enjoy the bar and restaurant.More

We have dropped in here a couple times and found it to be great for a light meal or just a drink and to watch ball games. The bar is really nice and big, and food is unique.....like duck quesadillas! Not a fancy food or...upscale place but for casual eats or drinks , it's one of the few on the north end of town....also outdoor seating in the warmer months.More

My problem is they are packed every time I go. People eating and talking and drinking with delight. Munching down special pizzas, great burgers and guzzling hand crafted drinks. It is truly a Gastropub which I thought was a pretty pretentious word description until I...started eating there. Don't forget some garnished fries! Maybe another slice of meatball Pizza. Could I have a bite of your California burger? How about a nibble of your Grilled Cheese and a couple of sips of that Tomato Soup. You hand over some of that Mac & Cheese. How about some more salt and pepper calamari and don't forget those duck quesadillas.More

This is just the type of restaurant Chico needs. Open floorplan, tons of light, a welcoming patio, really tasty cocktail menu and a lot of craft beers. The food is really, really good. The last thing I tried was the California Burger, which was superb,...and perfectly cooked. The pizzas are amazing, with some really unique topping combinations. You can tell a lot of thought went into this place, it's my new favorite place for lunch and dinner.More
