Had a wonderful meal. Margaritas were great. The steak and lobster were very tasty. We enjoyed the warmth of the wood burning stove. Recommend.

We always eat here at least once during our stay. Good food, friendly employees and amazing views. There is a cool little bar to hang out in. Outside they have heaters to keep you warm on those cold nights. Try to go at sunset and eat upstairs..

Friendly service and good food would make this place a great lunch destination on even a cold, foggy day, I'm guessing. I had the shrimp and chips, but this is one of those places to go back to, as there was so much on the menu that I wanted to try. Fish tacos are next!

Richard P______ from Broken Earth Winery who's actually a writer had highly recommended this place in Cayucos because of the quality food and he seemed to have frequented it. So after walking the entire length of the pier, we worked up enough appetite to try this higher-end restaurant. The hubby and I did manage to dine there, and it didn't... More

The food at this spot is 1st class, and it has a small bar upstairs that has a wonderful view of the ocean and beach.

A great watering hole that also serves great food from a very varied menu. Everything we had was excellent but the seafood chowder was a standout

Cannot speak of the other dining areas but I arrived on a Fri a little after 5 and saw the super small bar was packed with locals. By time I finished my first beer, however, my BFA was in a seat. I returned for lunch on Sat and I'm still raving about their steamers. Burger was decent. When I relocate... More

We had a wonderful lunch on the upstairs deck. Food was delicious best clam chowder. Also had a dinner here. Cippino was excellent, almond crusted halibut was a little dry. Will be back.

If you sit at the bar or some of the ocean-side outside tables you have a great view. A good place for a beer if traveling up or down Highway One. BUT, the fish & chips? Very greasy, soggy, and over-priced. If you want fish & chips head to one place in Morro Bay, a short drive away.

Description
Located in picturesque Cayucos, California, Schooners has been offering guests an unforgettable dining experience since it opened in 1993. Embracing a nautical theme reminiscent of the early history of the Central Coast sailors and fishermen, Schooners boasts the best ocean views of any restaurant in the area. Gaze into the deep blue while enjoying one of our signature cocktails, or perhaps some of our famous calamari strips. Schooners menu features fresh seafood and steaks, prepared thoughtfully by Chef Beto Gonzalez. Take time to stop in, take a look and say hello; chances are you'll find yourself wanting to indulge in our house specialty Bloody Mary, our fresh seafood, and some lively conversation with our local patrons. Hope to see you soon!
