Phone called the place to get information and the gentleman on the other side was very rude and hung up on me saying "he was very busy and didn't have time" If this is how it is just to get information I can only imagine...the service.More
We arrived in the area late in the day. I went on-line to find restaurants near me and this one came uprear the top. I am so happy to have found it. We were taken to a table that is placed right in front of...a huge fish tank. It was so relaxing to have the fish swimming by us throughout the meal. This is a small restaurant so the noise level is quite livable. The service was very good and the prices were fair. We enjoyed this restaurant that we returned a second time during our 5 night stay. My husband ordered the capellini both times and had a smile on his face the whole time he was eating it. I had the Sea Scallops the first night and shrimp scampi the second. Both were outstanding.More
Honestly - when we walked in with friends, who made the reservations... I didn't realize half of the restaurant was behind the bar. It seemed small at first so I didn't expect much. Dinners turned out to be marvelous. Great seafood. Super fresh. Nino -...our superb server... A 22 year veteran of Oceans, recommended the Paella - so I ordered it. Excellent. Very nice serving. Tasty. Well prepared. Fresh. The salad with the small shrimp, diced tomatoes and onions - wow. Excellent. We all had excellent dinners, drinks and wine. Recommend Oceans!More
On a drive from California to Arizona, I found this little “gem” of a restaurant. I stopped in for a quick bowl of soup. Their “minestrone” was the absolute best I have had in my life! ….and being Italian, that says a lot! The restaurant...is cute and cozy, yet very elegant! I’m looking forward to my next trip to California so I can stop by again. I would 100% recommend this restaurant!More
Oceans is a hidden gem just south of Palm Springs on South Palm Canyon across from the Target Shopping Center. Wonderful daily specials, kind servers So many wonderful fish dishes and they have plenty of non seafood dishes as well. They are pet friendly and...you can have the pets on the patio. They will even bring your fur kids a bowl of water. They have a full bar and a somewhat spartan wine list. It’s a local secret. And totally worth a visit.More
In Cathedral City for work for a few months…found this place and decided to give it a try. Food ( Blackened Barramundi was absolutely delicious!!! Veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly and mashed potatoes were very tasty with excellent texture. Beautifully plated. Had chocolate ganache...cake for dessert with absolutely top notch coffee. There is a nice wine list and a good selection of beers. The service was attentive and not intrusive. All in all a great experience. We will be back!!!More
We did not have a reservation but managed to get a table for the four of us at 7.30 pm. I had six oysters (perfect) and the barramundi. Others had Chilean sea bass and catfish. Good vegetables great bread with oil and garlic dip and...exceybotyle of rose. Limoncello ice cream for dessert. Not cheap but worth every last penny. And we Brits know our fish! If it wasn’t so far we’d come more often!More
We just happened upon this jewel for a peaceful lunch in the Dessert. We kinda had it with all the busy restaurants downtown And in El Paseo. Googled restaurants nearby, saw the oysters on the menu and don’t need to look anymore! Everything about our...extraordinary lunch experience was excellent. The bread to dip im tasty oil, the glass of wine, the oysters for my partner and the branzino picatta for me with fresh greens was the best I’ve had in the dessert! We will be back! So nice and quiet dining outdoors with soft music playing! Couldn’t have been better! The server and owner were top notch professional!More
Had an excellent meal with grilled calamari in a red sauce, and then we had the sea bass. The specials were presented to us on a large whiteboard with childlike handwriting. The dessert menu was a laminite card with some pictures on it. The decor...is a little dated. The food was fresh and tasty, but they really could use someone to come in and create a more elegant environment more complementary of the food.More
Four of us last night at Oceans restaurant in cathedral city ca. All had excellent dinners. Lobster ravioli, salmon, blackened barramundi and seared ahi.
Perfect fried calamari and peppers. I had the cioppino with lobster tail and it was perfectly cooked . We had the steamed Manila clams to start and they were also very good. Had a bottle of well priced Italian wine which made the meal.
Our first Covid restaurant venture in 7 months. Staff was so welcoming, we were glad we came. One of us is gluten free, wait staff very helpful in making decisions. The food was great. We’ll be back.
Everything about this place is excellent. They offer contactless curbside delivery and the food is hot and fresh every time which is super hard for a seafood restaurant. The specials and regular menu item are delicious and they are more than willing to accommodate dietary...needs. I would highly recommend this restaurant.More
Came for dinner while here on vacation. Only outside sitting in this county. Luckily a warm night unlike the following 2 nights. Service was very good. Decent Bread served. We shared a nice ceaser salad. Entrees were grollled shrimp and swordfish. Swordfish was very good....Shrimp were decent sized. Meals came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Prices moderate for this area.More
I was wanting seafood while on vacation in the Palm Springs area...so after some investigation we decided to try Oceans. We had a bit of a challenge finding it as it is tucked into a strip mall with poor signage, but we eventually found it....We were greeted warmly by the staff/management and seated immediately. We ordered a glass of wine and were presented with the specials on a flip chart. My companion ordered the crab cake dinner and I chose the Sea Scallops. Oceans supplies warm bread and garlic butter, which was nice. Our meals were delivered promptly but the plates were less than appealing...served with a mound of mashed potatoes and assorted vegetables. The crab cakes and Scallops were okay, but nothing remotely special. The best part of our meal was desert...we chose to share a tiramisu with a baileys and coffee and it was definitely the high point of our experience at Oceans. The servers were friendly. If you are looking for a special seafood experience I would not recommend Oceans. If you just need a meal it is OK. For $112.00 we could have found a better meal, I feel confident. I will not be back.More
