Hubby & I had supper here, he had chicken scallopini & I the sea bass (pricey @$36) His was very good but the sea bass was FABULOUS! Cooked 2 perfection! Not a fancy place, small & cozy but the service was TOP notch, the best we had in PS the entire trip!!! My water glass was never empty! They have a small patio for outside as well.
The lighting (Florescent?) was a bit harsh, could have used a bit of mood lighting & candle/lantern on the table would do wonders. Go early if u don't want 2 wait, looked 2 be a popular local spot.

Everything about this place is excellent. They offer contactless curbside delivery and the food is hot and fresh every time which is super hard for a seafood restaurant. The specials and regular menu item are delicious and they are more than willing to accommodate dietary needs. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We’ve been coming to Palm Springs for a break from Calgary’s winter weather for years and always include an evening at Oceans.
It’s hidden in a strip mall across the street from Boomers but worth seeking out.
Relatively small, especially when outdoor seating is closed for cooler weather, so make a reservation.
A broad selection of always fresh seafood with enough meat dishes just in case.
The wine list is modest but with an ample cross section to find something that works for most folks.
Attentive service without being intrusive.
Only one complaint - their specials Board always lists several options but never shows the prices.
This is awkward, patrons shouldn’t have to ask but the waiters never volunteer the prices and you could get burned if you don’t check before ordering.
If the owners read these reviews, please start listing pricing on your specials board.
We’ll be back again next winter.

I was wanting seafood while on vacation in the Palm Springs area...so after some investigation we decided to try Oceans. We had a bit of a challenge finding it as it is tucked into a strip mall with poor signage, but we eventually found it. We were greeted warmly by the staff/management and seated immediately. We ordered a glass of wine and were presented with the specials on a flip chart. My companion ordered the crab cake dinner and I chose the Sea Scallops. Oceans supplies warm bread and garlic butter, which was nice. Our meals were delivered promptly but the plates were less than appealing...served with a mound of mashed potatoes and assorted vegetables. The crab cakes and Scallops were okay, but nothing remotely special. The best part of our meal was desert...we chose to share a tiramisu with a baileys and coffee and it was definitely the high point of our experience at Oceans. The servers were friendly. If you are looking for a special seafood experience I would not recommend Oceans. If you just need a meal it is OK. For $112.00 we could have found a better meal, I feel confident. I will not be back.

We were coming to the area as we do every year and have always enjoyed Oceans. I made reservations about a month ahead so I could get the table in the front. When I called it seemed they were not prepared to take reservations that far out, but he did anyway. I asked for a table in the front for 5:30PM as that is the time they usually opened. We arrived at 5:30PM but the restaurant was mostly full. They did not seem to know about our reservation. We were seated in the back room by the restroom entry as not other table seemed to be available. The waiter was very pleasant, we ordered our wine and dinner. I had Sand Dabs and my husband had the shrimp-scallop pasta. I was very disapointed with my dinner, not much flavor and insipid mashed potatoes with no flavor, my husbands dinner was very good. We also ordered the lemon tart, no lemon taste and very dry. We were so looking forward to our night out but it was not good from the minute we were seated in a table not of our choice. The good thing was our waiter.

Perfect fried calamari and peppers.
I had the cioppino with lobster tail and it was perfectly cooked . We had the steamed Manila clams to start and they were also very good. Had a bottle of well priced Italian wine which made the meal.

We arrived in the area late in the day. I went on-line to find restaurants near me and this one came uprear the top. I am so happy to have found it. We were taken to a table that is placed right in front of a huge fish tank. It was so relaxing to have the fish swimming by us throughout the meal. This is a small restaurant so the noise level is quite livable. The service was very good and the prices were fair. We enjoyed this restaurant that we returned a second time during our 5 night stay. My husband ordered the capellini both times and had a smile on his face the whole time he was eating it. I had the Sea Scallops the first night and shrimp scampi the second. Both were outstanding.

Due to a strange quirk, I ate here 2 nights in a row, first for 2 people, next with 8. Both times we all loved our meals. The fish is incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. Meals came with a nice variety of perfectly cooked veggies. We had efficient friendly service. Would highly recommend

We just happened upon this jewel for a peaceful lunch in the Dessert. We kinda had it with all the busy restaurants downtown And in El Paseo. Googled restaurants nearby, saw the oysters on the menu and don’t need to look anymore! Everything about our extraordinary lunch experience was excellent. The bread to dip im tasty oil, the glass of wine, the oysters for my partner and the branzino picatta for me with fresh greens was the best I’ve had in the dessert! We will be back! So nice and quiet dining outdoors with soft music playing! Couldn’t have been better! The server and owner were top notch professional!

In Cathedral City for work for a few months…found this place and decided to give it a try. Food ( Blackened Barramundi was absolutely delicious!!! Veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly and mashed potatoes were very tasty with excellent texture. Beautifully plated. Had chocolate ganache cake for dessert with absolutely top notch coffee. There is a nice wine list and a good selection of beers. The service was attentive and not intrusive. All in all a great experience. We will be back!!!

Our first Covid restaurant venture in 7 months. Staff was so welcoming, we were glad we came. One of us is gluten free, wait staff very helpful in making decisions. The food was great. We’ll be back.

Came for dinner while here on vacation. Only outside sitting in this county. Luckily a warm night unlike the following 2 nights. Service was very good. Decent Bread served. We shared a nice ceaser salad. Entrees were grollled shrimp and swordfish. Swordfish was very good. Shrimp were decent sized. Meals came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Prices moderate for this area.

What a hidden gem. We stopped for lunch before heading to the airport to go back home to Canada. We shared a Lobster Caesar salad and a Seafood pasta dish with the angel hair pasta and white wine sauce. The presentation of the food was amazing, and the ambience is very retro and looks to be Mediterranean influenced. Our daughter ordered the same seafood angel hair pasta and wanted an Alfredo sauce. Prices were reasonable, and the service was impeccable.

I love the specials on the board online addition to the menu. This trip I gmhad the Royale salad and blackened barramundi and tiramisu for dessert. The barracuda is the best I have ever had. The tiramisu is out of this world. The portions are large. Service is fantastic.

Strip mall, yes but you found a jewel. Great hospitality, great food, just all around good people. Great time and we were a large party. Went to Workshop before and would come here again in a heartbeat. These guys know hospitality.
