My family has had sushi to go from this restaurant probably a half dozen times now in the last four months. First of all, they are always on time when we ask for our order to be picked up at a certain time, which I...appreciate not having to wait while it gets prepared or packaged. But most importantly, the sushi is inventive, fresh, flavorful and generous. Their rolls probably count into the 30 range, and many are one of a kind and all that we’ve had are fantastic. Their sashimi is delicious, and also generous in its portion size. Everyone that we have had try the sushi from here has loved it, friends, my daughter, my mother-in-law, everyone. Highly recommended and best in the area as far as we are concerned.More

Have been coming to this Japanese/Korean restaurant for years - one of my favorites in the desert area. Staff are friendly, food is delicious, and the price is reasonable.

I had high hopes. The reviews are very good and the desert has been missing good Asian food like sushi and Korean food. The service was very friendly and the place nicely decorated and clean. It’s at the end of an uninteresting strip mall across...from Target. The food seemed fresh and well prepared but lacked seasoning. The sushi was wrapped in plain white rice. Never had I not had sushi rice without mirin mixed in. The miso soup was bland. Lunch specials help with the pricing. Two bento boxes, one roll and two drinks about $50. I left feeling like I had an appetizer and still hungry.More

Busy little spot on a Monday evening for dinner with my husband whilst on holiday in Palm Springs. I had the salmon teriyaki tempura dinner & he had the sashimi selection. The food is delicious. We had crispy tofu salad & seaweed salad for our...shared starters, miso soup & the best genmaicha rice tea. $75 total. Nice to eat somewhere that isn’t a chain. Friendly staff.More

Went to Umami Seoul last night for dinner with friends. Food was fantastic, per usual, and very reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients and the amount of food one is served. Despite the name, this is primarily a sushi restaurant, with one short page...of Korean specialties. I had the dragon roll. Yum! Service last night was irregular at best, which is contrary to my past experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

Today I finally ordered some Korean food. I'd been ordering mostly from the japanese options. I can tell you it was delicious and very generous portions. I had the Bulgogi Beef Bento! ( I know still a little bit Japanese!!) The beef was delicious and...the best I've had outside of Korea ( and LA!!).More

The sushi we tried was good. We also asked to sample Kimechi, which we never tried before. The Korean soup with rib was mostly noodles had an aftertaste. The Bento box was the best as was the sample of sushi.

We really enjoy going here. I usually go somewhere at least 3 times before I review it locally. All 4 times we have gone it was stellar. Great food, service and clean. Try the lemonade, it's made fresh daily. I've had the Bento box 3...times....love it.More
