Great local Mexican restaurant with a casual feel. Food is always good with an inexpensive price. The menu has many selections along with the standard 1-3 item combo plates. Place has a full bar and banquet room. Restaurant can get a little crowded on the weekends but not usually a problem during the week. If you are looking for a... More

Pretty typical Americanized Mexican food. Our favorite time to come here is to have appetizers in the afternoon or to have just dessert (the Bunelo is the best thing on the menu) late at night.

Decent margarita - just don't get the pre-mixed ones! Good food - some authentic dishes. Always good service with food served hot! Check the cocktail menu for the really good drinks!

Don Jose's is an exceptional Mexican restaurant. I wish that I can give it 10 stars. The service was okay. The food was excellent. I recommend eating the enchiladas. I would recommend Don Jose's to everyone who likes Mexican food.

I've eaten in Don Jose's for years because a group I belong to meets there--otherwise, I'd pass. While the decor is authentic, the food is mediocre and the service is uneven. I lived in Mexico for six years, so am probably more demanding than most. The dish which I use to make a quick judgement of Mexican restaurants is chile... More

I love Mexican food but this sucks. They don't even try. Melted cheese food plate. It's a great facility. I wish someone else would take over.

Large portions of average food matched the hokey Mexican decor. A family style restaurant with an ambitious menu that never quite meets expectations. The guacamole starter was OK but the three orders of fish tacos (two per order) were overfilled making it impossible to eat. They should have been divided into three tacos that could have been folded and eaten... More

Chosen because it seems to be one of the few restaurants open in town after 9pm, we lucked into a very good meal. Fresh, warm corn chips followed by cheese and shredded beef enchiladas and a beef chimichanga were all very good. Excellent service. The decor is very inviting. The lighting in the high ceiling allows it to feel open... More

We decided to try again. We have not been here in years and the last time the food and service was not pleasing. I had flautists and the chicken was dry. The beans and rice were tasty. My husband the golfos, chicken tacos. He had 2 beers and I had a margarita. The meal was $50, a little pricey for... More

The Mexican food is average, it's good but not great. Service is quick, I enjoy the green enchiladas and tostada salad. Good family restaurant.
