Love the outdoor patio area - you can look out over the hills. The food is definitely comfort food, the staff is super friendly.

My wife ordered a medium rare Lonely Burger which is a plain burger with stuff you tell the cook to put on (like lettuce, mushroom, tomatoes...etc). It is a 8oz burger but when it came out, it looks more than 8oz, at least to me....More

We had a family dinner at Running Iron on Halloween while visiting family in the Carmel Valley. We sat on the patio and our server entertained us from the second she arrived at the table - in costume & dishing out local humor. We shared...More

Visited here for lunch a couple years ago and we returned very hungry after a nearby hike. We shared the nachos and chicken strips and both were very large portions and really good. Our server was attentive and we will definitely be back.

Ate here with my family. Walked in and got a table one evening without reservation. Great friendly service. Food was generous portions and nicely presented and cooked. Red Snapper was very good. Good local beer and the decor was absorbing!

Pretty much anything you can imagine. It is an eclectic menu with all those described in the previous answer. This is not an upscale place, just a basic old time cowboy kind of bar/restaurant.
