We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here, having drinks and dinner on each of our two night stay in Carmel Valley. Nice, quirky style pub with attached, casual restaurant. Wait staff were great, explaining the various dishes available and arranging the take-away containers for the food we were unable to finish. Well worth the visit.

I ordered one of the burgers, my husband ordered the Filly, my son ordered a hot dog and all were good. BUT!!!! Do not, I repeat DO NOT order the Mac and Cheese for a whopping $12, it is nothing but Kraft Mac & Cheese! Although the rest of the food was very good, I was very disappointed and ticked... More

On a beautiful day sitting outside and eating lunch is glorious. The service is excellent and the casual atmosphere lends itself for a delicious salad or hamburger. They are known for their different types of hamburgers and they are delicious whether you like them with avocado , cheese or bacon etc...all delicious. Soak up the food and the wonderful weather!

We enjoyed several courses there on two occasions though, on our first visit, our older waitress was non-communicative and seemed put-out by fairly simple requests. We did give the restaurant a second try during our vacation but with a different couple and we insured we had a different waitress. The food was consistently good.

The Running Iron used to be the locals hangout any day of the week. We went on a Thursday evening and didn't see a single person we knew! The place has been cleaned up a bit, but the food hasn't changed much nor has it improved. We were a group of 8 people of various ages. We were seated quickly... More

We scheduled our visit at the same time as the Warriors play off game. We were very concerned where to watch it in this tiny village. Our hotel manager told us they would be showing it here. As vegetarians, there was the usual bar food choices, and average taste. But, the service was outstanding! They sat us near the TV... More

We were in town for the Sea Otter Classic bike race down at Laguna Seca and stumbled upon this place since it was near our hotel. Awesome down-home American food...BBQ, steaks, hamburgers, sandwiches, pasta, etc. Warning: the portions are HUGE. We had enough for lunch the following day. Sirloin steak was outstanding as was the Ranch Burger. All the old... More

Great blue cheese burgers!! The place is a cute local hangout. Has a bar separate from the dinning area. The decore is interesting with cowboy boots hanging up above and kids overalls hangin as curtains. lol, fun place to grab a bite to eat!
