The BEST blueberry pancakes you will ever put in your mouth!! Wow.. We liked this place so much we had breakfast there twice while visiting Carmel Valley. This place is small.. seating indoors or out, service is great, coffee is good and hot, bacon is prepared to perfection. Others in our party had french toast, yogurt with fresh fruit, eggs... More

On our second morning in Monterey we went to Wagon Wheel which seems to be in the middle of no where. The first thing you notice is that you've entered cowboy country. It is a throw back in time to the 50's complete with a autographed photo of Doris Day on the wall. There is cowboy paraphernalia in every nook... More

We always try to have at least one breakfast here when we are in the area. Great breakfast staples and fun cowboy decor. Its small and cash only!

Lots of locals, always a good sign. Standard fare and big portions. I had ham and eggs, a large ham steak, 3 eggs and hash browns... Delicious. Friendly service in a homey environment. We'll be back on our next visit to one our favorite RV parks, Carmel by the River.

Good sizes portions, plenty of choices wish they had beer. We had the breakfast burrito of which they offer you one or two and how could someone eat two? They are big and delish with a sub of beans vs potatoes and their wonderful homemade salsa. Also shared the mahi tacos which were grilled with tomatoes onions mushrooms and came... More

I love to sit at the counter, chat with the owners and watch the cooks at work in their tony kitchen. I love the cookout (poached eggs in a bowl of baked beans) or the Hawaiin delight sandwich (ham Swiss and pineapple on grilled sourdough) or the Katy cakes (mini pancakes). My husband loves the chicken fried steak, biscuits and... More

Tradition is something I have always embraced. Whether it’s something as joyous and simple as a fire and glass of champagne on Christmas day, or as complicated as trying to prepare a hotel-quality breakfast for four on the rocky shoreline of my favorite Minnesota lake (Kabetogama), I love to revisit those things and places that have brought laughter, joy and... This is an at least once a trip stop for us. Not much to look at from the outside but what great food. Only open for breakfast and lunch (cash only!!) this is a locals haunt but friendly to out-of-towners as well. You may have to wait, especially on weekend mornings but it is well worth the wait!!
