My spouse found the place when looking for an authentic American restaurant. You just know the locals love it when the first person you meet in the door is the county sheriff looking really pleased after his meal. Great ambience, tasty food and friendly staff.

We wanted a real american breakfast experience, and that is what we got! Go easy on the amount you order, the portions are big!

This is for sure one of the best breakfast places in all of Monterey, Carmel and Pacific Grove and I wish it was closer to me. The feel of the place and the staff and the quality of food all come together so great. I suggest the eggs Benedict and mushrooms!

You can always count on the Wagon Wheel for quick service, and a wonderful meal! It's family run and a small place with a line outside on weekends, but well worth the wait! Breakfast and lunch only!

Decided to stop here on our way to the Carmel Valley wineries. Be advised that they do not take credit cards. The owner and his wife are very friendly. Service is great. It is a very small place with lots of character. Pancakes are excellent. Omelet was very good.

Try the waffles with fresh berries or the blueberry pancakes for breakfast—you won't be disappointed. This humble cafe looks like a hole in the wall, but the food coming out of the kitchen is down home goodness and the service is great. Come early on Saturdays and Sundays to avoid a line out the door. Oh, and the corned beef... More

It's a tiny little place just outside of Carmel a ways, but the breakfast we had was delicious. It was a little hot inside but we sat by the window. Service was good. Would definitely go back!

We were in town for 3 days and visited this restaurant each morning The eggs benedict are wonderful. Ironically the owner is from Minnesota as we are. I highly recommend this spot. You won't be sorry.

A true authentic Cowboy diner complete with lots of cowboy memorabilia all over the walls, ceilings and counters. It's a throwback from a bygone era and you can enjoy seeing many photos of local cowboys that you might even bump into.

We visit Carmel Valley about once every two years and Wagon Wheel is always on our checklist of restaurants to visit for good food at a reasonable price. We love their breakfasts and enjoy their outdoor seating on a nice day. Very casual.
