Delicious food in a somewhat tired but fun decor. Lovely waitstaff. We had a great light lunch with a fabulous dessert.

This is my favorite spot for lunch - we go here every visit to Carmel. Love the Cobb salad and French onion soup combo and the eggs Parisian. Desserts are great - we often purchase them to go as do a lot of walk in...More

After a day of shopping in Carmel, it was lovely to be able to stop and eat in the quaint French cafe. We all had the French onion soup, and loved it. My mom and I had beef bourgignon and it was heavenly. We all...More

We stopped in here for lunch after viewing the menu outside. The inside is very aged and could use some TLC. The food was average. I had a sandwich with a salad that had one crouton on it (whoop) and my husband had the shepherds...More

We happened upon this place looking for a light dinner and dessert. What a find. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very European. Then the ending with superb cream brûlée and other pastries was wonderful. We even went back for a second evening....More

We stumbled upon this delightful place which reminded me of a tea room although it was filled with men and women alike. Great French ambiance. The service was very good and the lunch was wonderful. My husband had the Vegetables in Phyllo and I had...More

Great Desserts! We have stopped here in the afternoon a couple of times for coffee and desserts. The desserts are amazing but we felt somewhat uncomfortable here both times. We felt as if we were imposing on them to order dessert as if we were...More

We barely made their 4:30 p.m. closing time (before they reopen for dinner at 5:30), so imagine my disappointment when I bit into my almond croissant to only taste like a slightly tired Danish. A croissant is hugely different from a Danish, but they sell...More

Here is their phone number (831) 624-5008. They only take reservations for dinner, apparently. Google it, look at website, refer to dinner menu.

Description
A relaxing and comforting venue modeled after a European chateau where tables are thoughtfully spaced and fresh flowers, fireplace, candles and soothing musical notes are integral part of the dining experience. The ambience sets the tone for French country food served with a great deal of care for detail, and pastries baked daily on premises. Dining room is available for private dinner parties.
