We dined here last night and had a wonderful meal. Need to mention prices well below average dinner costs in other very nice Carmel restaurants. Quiet atmosphere and seemed to have several locals dining there. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Enjoyed a lovely Coquilles St. Jacques, on a bed of rice and julienned fresh vegetables. Husband enjoyed Roasted Duck... More

I really wanted to love this restaurant but something was missing. My husband and I both had onion soup which was very good. He had the duck which he liked. I had a shrimp and salmon dish which sounds great but it wasn't. The salmon was fishy. I think the place just lacked atmosphere. I wouldn't go back to many... More

This is a wonderful lunch spot. They have a lunch special. Dining room looks like a French cafe. We had roasted chicken sandwich, roast beef sandwich, and French Onion soup - all were fabulous. I think a great bang for your buck in pricey Carmel Staff very nice, in fact, my husband needed his phone charged while we were there.... More

We tried Patisserie Boissiere at our hotel manager's suggestion. I don't know if it was "crazy good," his words, but my braised lamb shank and French onion soup were both excellent. My wife's salad was good, but nothing special. What was special was the presentation of two delicious scones from the patisserie counter at the front of the restaurant for... More

Patisseris Boissiere was recommended to us by the hotel manager as a "crazy good" French restaurant with great service. I don't know about crazy good, but the braised lamb shank and French onion soup were outstanding, and VERY reasonably priced. At the end of the meal, we were presented with two wonderful pastries from the front of the restaurant. They... More

This was a find. After looking at menus around Carmel and seeing countless versions of pasta-this was refreshing. The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere charming, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had the Coquille St. Jacques-nice large pieces of shrimp and scallops in cheesy cream sauce, fresh vegetables and rice. A salad came with-how nice not... More

We've been coming here over years of visits to this beautiful part of the world. Patisserie Boissiere never disappoints, whether it's the pastries, meals, atmosphere, service. Last week we had boeuf bourguignon--best since France!-- and crispy duck, and harvest salad. All were excellent, as well as the potatoes, soup, and house salad. No trip to the Monterey-Carmel Peninsula is complete... More

Located on the southern edge of Carmel Plaza, Patisserie Boissiere offers good lunch menu dining. We had not been for many years and had forgotten what a perfect lunch spot it was. We were seated in the bright space under the skylights with a window looking out to the Carmel Plaza area. Reviewing the menu, it was hard to choose... More

E were looking for something swret and happened by this restaurant. All the desserts are baked in house and so many delicious choices. I had the chocolate flourless cake and it was decadent to say the least. My husband had the strawberry pastry which was so light and airy. We loved it so much we went back the next day... More

Description
A relaxing and comforting venue modeled after a European chateau where tables are thoughtfully spaced and fresh flowers, fireplace, candles and soothing musical notes are integral part of the dining experience. The ambience sets the tone for French country food served with a great deal of care for detail, and pastries baked daily on premises. Dining room is available for private dinner parties.
