We had dinner here with our family on a busy Friday evening. Service was friendly and prompt and everything we ordered was very good. They timed the meal nicely for adults and kids orders. Great location right downtown.

We recently sat at the chef's counter and thoroughly enjoyed watching the creative expertise of the chef staff. The food was delicious, and we ordered seafood stew, a pasta dish and two innovative and tasty salads. We watched as the steak specialty chefs created their signature Florentine style steaks, and wished we had room to eat one of them. Next... More

We have been going to this restaurant for years. We used to go for dinner but since they became an expensive steak house at dinner instead of an Italian restaurant, we only go here for lunch. Started with wine and burata cheese I had a nice spicy Bordeaux, my husband had a barbera- both very good and perfect with the... More

I went there for dinner after a late arrival into Carmel and everyone in the family was hungry yet tired. We had either pizza or pasta and all dishes were tasty but still expensive for what it was. I think we should have gone to Da metra close by as the atmosphere seemed more lively and the prices lower for... More

Owner David Fink is the most gracious host and his essence is the true definition of hospitality. We dined at the chef's counter and were presented with the most spectacular charcuterie of dried meats I have seen to date. We also enjoyed the jumbo shrimp sitting on a bed of seasoned grilled corn. It was heavenly. We ended with a... More

We had made a last minute reservation though Opentable. We were given 3 options, which included the chefs table. Basically a high top counter overlooking the kitchen, is what we picked. From there we could see the kitchen crew. The wine list is ok, and the menu pretty good, not too many choices. My wife had 2 appetizers, of which... More

The good was excellent. It wasn't like American Italian restaurants, where they serve pasta with a ton of oils and fat. The dinner was light and delicious. Try the gnocchi! The only bad part was that they don't serve pizza for dinner, only for lunch. If you want pizza, come early!

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant on our visit to Carmel as we checked their online menu, which looked tasty with reasonable (for the area) prices. We ordered a simple lunch, we shared an antipasto (lamb and pistachio, which was overpriced but fairly tasty) and we shared a pizza (which came out with burnt crust, but we... More

It was a Friday night and we hadn't made reservations. We tried a resturant down the street with no luck, so we walked down to Luca. How lucky! They had a table in their backroad which they said might be noisy which it wasn't. They had a good wine list that my husband had a glass off of, but I... More

My partner and I stumbled upon this place whilst strolling through the lovely streets of picturesque Carmel. Judging from the menu display on the doorway and thanks to the buzzing atmosphere we got a glance of, we decided to call in despite the manager's warning that there'd be a 15-minute wait. In fact we waited a lot less than that.... More
