The food, wine and ambiance is terrific and very relaxed. A party of 6 adults had a terrific experience, AFTER moving from the back room where there was a very rude and loud group of people. The management was not going to try and calm these people down, but they happily moved our party. I felt sorry for the other... More

Usually I don't really write negative review. I just will not visit the place again. But this time I thought maybe I should, as the owner/management might want to know so they have the opportunity to improve. This is the third time we went to this restaurant. The first two times were good experience so we decided to go with... More

This is our second time at this restaurant all across-the-board really kind of disappointing. Service was slow just like last time, waitress never told us about specials, never refilled wine or water glasses, placed plates in front of the wrong diner, and it goes on. Most interesting was when we ordered rather expensive bottle of wine and wine steward didn't... More

Dinner was a bit disappointing. The food was tasty but short of meat. The room was nice and the staff friendly but the food was just OK.

All the staff is very friendly and we felt comfortable from the very first moment we got there. The food was perfect. I had a wonderful and fresh green salad with ricota and balsamic vinaigrette. My husband had a juicy and tender filetto that came exactly the way he ordered. We had a delightful moment there and surely recommend it.

We had another very good experience at Luca, enjoying the fresh ingredients and wide selection of appetizers and pastas. The short rib was a bit on the dry side but the bolognese and halibut special were exceptional for sure. The wine list is adequate but not much more than that. Our waiter was very professional and attentive; thank you Jose... More

First time to Carmel, first restaurant we tried. Good, attentive and helpful service. Husband had the beef filet, I had the salmon. . . both delicious. Wine by the glass - very good - pricey. Dinner came in around $125. Would recommend. PS Made a reservation and was offered late or very early otherwise they were booked. We got there... More

Although Cantinetta is not one of the cheapest options, you do get what you pay for: good Italian food, great flavours, fresh ingredients and friendly service. We had a delicious cocktail, a fresh antipasto and a great main dish. Would definitely recommend it!

Actually ate here twice in three days during Monterey car week. Both times I had the tagliatelle alla Bolognese. It is the best pasta I have had outside of Italy. Well worth the visit.

This place is very lively and welcoming. Sat at the bar and got into three different conversations with the patrons there with me. The bartender was a delight, the food was well prepared and presented and it was simply a delightful evening.
