My husband is quite partial to an American breakfast and he said of all the places we visited on our recent 18 night trip through California, that this was the best he had! It's a lovely little setting and the locals are friendly and are happy to strike up conversation. If you're visiting Carmel, definitely go here!

Three of us went for a late breakfast or early lunch. It's kitschy inside, but the food was good and service fine. Would return for breakfast or lunch.

they have the most fantastic pancakes. The only place I will eat pancakes. They are so friendly there. Have eaten there for years, on every visit to Carmel.

If you're staying in Carmel overnight, you'll want a great breakfast in the morning. Do yourself a favor and check out the Little Swiss Café. Get up early, and walk on down there, put your name on the list, and wait a little while (maybe 20 minutes on average). The wait is definitely worth it! I've had delicious meals here... More

Little Swiss is an old-time breakfast/lunch place near the art galleries and off the high street. The food is good, and so is the service, but don't go looking for anything other than traditional American food. Nothing "new" or "modern" on the menu, just solid classics.

We struck up a conversation with a Carmel local the evening before who recommended Little Swiss Cafe. He raved about the crispy hash browns and bacon. Breakfast is our favorite meal of the day and this place does not disappoint. The service was friendly and our waitress provided us tips - waffles vs french toast. A great spot to kick... More

The food was delicious but almost a side show to the vibrant murals which cover the walls. They feel Dutch and look like fine art rural scenes- and they are but they have little fun figures and scenes added by the Dutch artist, Andre Ballion (and other artists I suspect) which become apparent the more you look at them. The... More

We enjoyed our breakfast so much! I had cheese blintzes which were wonderful! A very generous plate of 3 large blintzes. My husband had the daily special which was skirt steak and eggs served with hash brown potatoes and choice of breads. The prices were reasonable and cheaper than other places in Carmel. Attentive service made it very pleasurable.

We are doing the Roadtrip from San Francisco to Los Angeles and we stayed in Carmel by the Sea a few nights. We ordered the omelette with hashbrown before continuing our roadtrip and it was delicious! The coffee is regular coffee nothing special. I recommend this place.

Service was a bit slow but I think that's cause the servers are old school. They talk to everyone and get side tracked. Nice people working there just kinda out there. But hey I'm out there too. Good food for a good price though. I would come back.
