We visited Carmel for the first time in five years, and The Tuck Box was number 1 on our list of "must visit again." It still has outstanding tea and delicious and unique scones. Hopefully it won't take me another 5 years to return.

Amazing breakfast. The best eggs Benedict! Be aware, they only take cash, so bring some cash with you, $20-$40 for breakfast. It's cozy inside and you can of course sit outside as well. It was our first time visiting, we will definitely be back!

Our first meal at the Tuck Box was 46 years ago and it is still the same or even better! We were in Carmel for our 46 anniversary and our first lunch was here. We enjoyed visiting with the waitress who was very friendly. The food was great and the Chef even came out to say hello! There is very... More

The waitress was welcoming and delightful. Fast service and wonderfully fresh food. Small but quaint... perfect Carmel style!

We have been coming here for 35 years. Still just as quaint as ever and the food always good. Scones are delicious.

We ordered ham omelet , spnish omelet, cheese omelet and turkey sandwich. Omelet is simple. Sandwich cp was higher. Also have daily special set. It's an good choices for brunch here. The seats numbers are not too much. The biggest table only can for 4 people. If more than 4, need to separated.

Menus is very limited but had delicious porridge made from mixed whole grains. Service was poor and no effort was made at food presentation- just a bowl and spoon. With a little extra effort could have been so much nicer (couple of mint leaves? a berry or two?). Carmel is expensive and this place was no exception- porridge and coffee... More

Mom and I would go here often and loved it. We would always get scones and tea, delicious and the service was great. Always ate outside, sometime the sun can be bright so we always brought hats.

My mother took me to the Tuck Box when I was a child. I felt so grown up having tea with her. My daughter grew up having tea at the Tuck Box and it is now our 'go to' place when we want to catch up and spend quality time together in Carmel:)

When we drove by and saw this beautifully charming building, we just had to find a parking spot to see if the food/service would match it's setting? We quickly found out the service would be poor upon being greeted with a young woman who clearly hated her job as she greeted us with her painted on fake smile! The scones... More
