After our amazing massages at the Cocoa Spa just up the stairs we decided to grab brunch at the Tuck Box on the way out. Everyone was super friendly and the food was great as well as the feeling of being in old Carmel with the architecture.

Breakfast is good however to have high tea and scones is the very best.Inside is cute if it is chilly outside however when you are outside it is like being in a European county having your tea time.

We were up from San Diego for the week and had breakfast in this historic building. The service was great and the breakfast was great. After we wandered up the stairs and found an amazing spa based on chocolate treatments......the combination of Tuck box for breakfast followed by chocolate and a massage could not be beat!

My boyfriend took me here as he thought I might like some English tea (being English) the service was rude and so poor. I think the young waitress was in the middle of a argument with someone out the back. We waited to be serves. She throw the cutlery down. It was the rudest service I have ever received. It... More

I always order the scones. They are more like a cornbread style scone so they absorb the Olallieberry jam. The scones and Olalliberry jam is all I come for with a pot of tea. You can bring your dog but you have to sit outside.

This place has a sort of brunch-oriented menu, Omelettes, sandwiches, salads, pies. Good scones, as everything else. Strangely, the omelette was served plane, with scones on a side. The meat was served with a salad on the same plate. THe little fairy tale house may appeal to some -there's a courtyard that is truly a fine spot. Service was good... More

This is a darling tiny lunch spot! We had a very nice lunch. I had the hot chicken salad and it was very good. It was hot chicken on a bed of very fresh lettuce. The fruit plate with cottage cheese was also on a bed of very fresh lettuce. Each came with yummie scone bread that looked more like... More

The tuck box can turn 2 eggs, ham, toast and a glass of wine in a 50 dollar meal. Frendly served but way to expensive. When I asked why? They they blamed the taxes

Thoroughly enjoyed our delicious hot chicken salads, as always!!! Their famous scones were good, but not as delicious as they usually are- not as " crunchy". One half of the order was fluffy and the other half didn't rise as much- I remember the scones being fluffy AND crunchy! I have been coming here for over forty years ~happily reminisced... More

Lots of charm outside and in, but stay and sit and enjoy a warm scone with their orange marmalade and olliberry jam! A meal by itself!
