We had a group of 8 for dinner. Our waitress was excellent--loads of experience, obviously. Atmosphere is so-so but food was very good--or at least no one complained about what they had to eat. My dish was a Pacific cod with rice and roasted veggies--yum!

Had the best linguini and clams, impressive, large good number of clams, surprised me! And so flavorful. Guess it is a long time local favorite, well it definitely won us over, we will definitely be back, almost returned shortly after, but wanted to sample new places :-)!

This had been recommended by our hotel, but was a bit of a disappointment. My three fellow diners ordered fish with vegetables, but were less than impressed by what was served. It tasted very 'fried', and lacking in flavour, so they said. I had the fish stew, and here I was most impressed by what was served. Great chunks of... More

We stayed in Carmel and came here one night for dinner. It was on the later side and it was pretty quiet in here, but we were warmly welcomed! We ordered clam chowder, fish and chips, and the seafood Cobb salad. The salad was delicious - one of the best I've ever had. Everything was so fresh and tasty, and... More

Food at this restaurant is still good but not as good as it used to be. Quality and quantity of the food have dropped while coat is little pricey.

The food was good, but we felt that it was overpriced compared to similar restaurants in the area. The higher prices were not justified either. The ambience is nothing special, the service was decent but not great, and the food was tasty, but not something to rave about.

This is a strange setup for a restaurant half on one side of the lane no tablecloths. The other side tablecloths. Same food. Loved the fried oysters but that's where it stopped. we were hoping for great seafood and got ok seafood. Nothing had flavor that jumped out to you. It's not cheap but just ok. I gave it 4... More

We were in Carmel for one night and I wanted a seafood salad. What better place than a fish restaurant, right? This one had an avocado that was hard (I'm a native Californian and know my avocados). The tomatoes were mealy and un-ripe. The sliced black olives were from a can. Lettuce was poorly cut. The calamari was tough and... More

Great menu and selection, friendly staff and you must try the Chowder and the Paella! Reasonable prices too. Will visit again if I can.

This review is mixed because I enjoyed the lobster bisque appetizer and fresh fish curry, but my husband did not like the clam chowder appetizer or the paella. He said the paella had too much tomato sauce on it and was not what he expected, based upon paella he's had at other restaurants. I think he would have been happier... More

Description
At Flaherty's...Fish is Everything! We know good seafood, we know how to buy it and we know how to prepare it. Unlike most restaurants (even the best of them) where fish is often a secondary item on the menu...at Flaherty's it's all about seafood. Here, you will experience a small town, comfortable, family atmosphere, where quality ingredients and quality preparation come together with quality service. We also include gluten free items in our menu to provide all of our customers with the best service possible. It's who we are...come and experience seafood like it was meant to be.
