Village Corner is a great place to have breakfast in Carmel. We happened to walk by on the way to the ocean and stopped to get a bite to eat. They have an outdoor patio that has wonderful heating both around a gas firepit as well as the other outdoor tables. We enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros, Breakfast Burrito and the... More

We came here on a Friday afternoon and it was a little busy but we got a nice spot outside by the fire pit which was nice. The staff were friendly and quick and the dining area is quaint. As for the food it was delicious! Fresh, nice sauces and their dessert is also really good. The prices were average... More

My partner and I spent three weeks road tripping around California - eating very well at each stop - and this was hands down our stand out meal of the holiday. Great setting (as other reviewers have mentioned, perfect for people watching), lovely staff, and the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the pistachio crusted salmon which could have been... More

Very cool corner location with a covered brick patio--sunny for lunch and cozy firepit and radiant heat overhead by night. Great for "people-watching'. Staff was very welcoming and attentive. Menu was diverse but we were somewhat disappointed by the food. Crab cakes were nicely cooked but had a 'cat food' consistency inside and did not feature the sweet taste of... More

We had lunch at Village Corner. I wasn't expecting much based on the name, but it had been recommended to us by one of the shop owners. I'm glad we gave it a try. There was a very comprehensive menu and the food was excellent. I had a squid sandwich with the biggest slice of squid I've ever seen, very... More

We had dinner here one evening, and sadly we had mixed feelings about the experience. We both started with Calamari, mine deep fried and dried out, while my husbands in a sauce was tasty. My crab cakes weren't much better, while husbands Chicken Picatta was better. A meal of two parts!

We ordered two Greek Salads, one with additional chicken breast. The two came to a total of $27 with feta cheese just finely sprinkled over the top of the leaves, olives and tomatoes. The wine bill was overcharged. This was corrected with no apology.

I visited this restaurant three times for lunch last year, in spite of not being quite happy with the food. The reason was a friend who seldom visits found that it was the only place around that offers special chairs for kids. Every time somebody ordered a Nicoise, and the fish every time was (a) not tuna (b) not seared... More

Every time we come to Carmel, we try to visit Village Corner at least once for lunch or breakfast. This time we were here for the 8th Annual Poodle Day, when over 500 dogs show up at the Crossroads Shopping Center for a little parade and some fun with poodles. Our experiences over the years at Village Corner have been... More
