This is the type of restaurant I would have invited my in-laws to when we had been married for six or seven years and I wanted to impress them with our financial progress and growing sophistication. That, of course, would have been in the early 1970s, a time long since gone. We ate there last night, my wife/ our good... More

We tried this restaurant because it was said to be one of the best in town. It has an elegant ambiance and some areas have a pretty view of the fountain courtyard. But other than that I didn't find it to be particularly special. They had a good bar and wine list, and there were plenty of servers so the... More

We did not make reservations, but they seated us at a large table in the dining area. There were different dishes to choose from so I choose the steak. The wine was impressive and the evening was pleasant.

It was far to long between lunches at this fine restaurant. If I lived in Carmel, I'd help wear out the carpet. This truly a gourmet delight. This is dining. The decor splendid and the service flawless. Presentation is immaculate and pleasing to the eye. The flavors pleasantly tickle the palate. The main course, a swordfish salad, replete with a... More

The quiet dining room overlooking the courtyard/fountain is simply delightful, and very quiet which makes for a peaceful dining experience. Our lunches were equally delightful (especially the shrimp club which is very much like the one at Nepenthe for a lot less money). The service was excellent as well. We are locals and had not been here in awhile, but... More

Very nice interior, and the food was good. The staff was very helpful in advising on wine to the food.

Ate here on a Saturday night recently and I should have known better to skip it, however, the tall windows looking into the courtyard blinded me. Disappointing, boring food. Seriously, it's sizzler with tablecloths. To me, any place with rice pilaf should be a warning sign (but I didn't see that on the posted street menu). My husband and I... More

Have dined here several times; less frequently now since we moved to another state. But whenever we're in town, we usually have dinner here one evening. They fit us in last minute this evening; a quiet table by the fireplace... lovely! Excellent, attentive service, great food and elegant ambiance. We loved our meals and relaxing in a restaurant that really... More

Anton & Michel is a continental style restaurant in a more modern building that looks over a interior courtyard and fountain which makes for very pleasant ambience. The service was attentive. The rack of lamb is a speciality and quite tasty and well prepared. We brought our own bottle of wine but the restaurant waived corkage as we order a... More
