This is the Highland Inn's upscale restaurant. It has a commanding, world-class ocean view looking west. The ideal time to go is about an hour before sunset. My experience in the past with restaurants with a view is they tended to be expensive and/or poor service and/or food not worth the price. Pacific's Edge was expensive, but everything about it... This is truly one of the most spectacular views of the California coastline as you are high above the Pacific with spectacular views. Sunsets are a special event but view is great even if you gave a foggy evening. Food is excellent and salmon and scallop dishes are top - also great appetizers.

The view was outstanding. The food was ok, not outstanding. I ate here years ago when they had a great chef, so I was disappointed. The wine list was excellent and so was the service. I would come back for the view.

Dinner was GREAT! Rib eye was perfectly cooked and the short ribs were great. The view is unbeatable! The menu is limited, but everything we tried was very good.

Nice restaurant with lovely views of the Carmel seaside. Very nice wine selection, good Waite staff. White linen table cloths. The menu is heavily slanted toward fish dishes. There is one chicken option. My husband said the oysters were excellent. It is associated with the Highlands hotel, but the restaurant could stand on its own.

We ordered a delivery to Tickle Pink Inn from this restaurant across the street. We had the fish of the day which was salmon but upon delivery we were told that this was not a regular salmon ( mind you we were not told while ordering) and it most definitely was not like any other salmon I've tasted. It was... More

During our recent stay at the Carmel Highlands Hyatt, we ate dinner all 3 nights at the Pacific Edge Restaurant on the property. Each night was a different experience, with vegetarian dishes my wife enjoyed, the Buretta salad and the Zucchini Carpaccio dish, which made her happy each night. Meanwhile, I had a different entree` each night, starting with Pacific... More

Love this place. I was worried the menu would be too limited, but it turned out perfectly. The food was a bit spendy, but this is fine dining and well worth the experience. The server was on the spot and the sommelier very helpful.

Our dinners were artfully displayed and quite delicious. Service was top notch. Expect something out of the ordinary.
