Cozy place with great service and food. Really enjoyed the fried wonton and salsa mix. The Almond crusted Halibut was excellent. Will certainly go back.

Enjoyed terrific meal at Flying Fish Grill last weekend. Restaurant has great vibe, including wonderful server and friendly owner. Rare tuna main course was delicious, as was ice cream sundae dessert.

We stopped in Carmel for my birthday dinner while doing the Pacific Coast highway 101. I was in the mood for fish and the Flying Fish Grill was open when we arrived (American restaurants usually close very early, around 21h ). The food and service were great - they somehow understood it was my birthday and sang me Happy birthday... More

We very much enjoyed our meal and experience at Flying Fish. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way in providing good service, but also in telling us about things to check out on the next steps of our vacation journey. Highly recommend.

Comfortable, laid back restaurant. I enjoyed the seafood linguine and crème brûlée. Don't recall what the others ate now but no complaints

A Japanese oriented restaurant. Primarily a fish menu. The ambience, service and food are all outstanding. I highly suggest a reservation. The restaurant is small and gets very busy early. Casual dress is fine, and although on the mildly pricey ($100 for two, with drinks & dessert), you'll leave with you appetite completely satisfied. No skimpy entrees here!

Saturday night with no reservations, no chance of getting a table. Sunday night dinner was delicious. Pan fried oysters.... Yummy. Fresh sautéed edamame, almond crusted sea bass, glass of sochu and my honey. Friendly staff. Tight closed in spaces.

We had one of the best meals we've had in many moons. The atmosphere is intimate and the food is fabulous. We would go back in a heartbeat. Just wish it was closer to our desert home. Make reservations well in advance.
