An outdoor fireplace, a comfy divan, a nice coffee table, good scotch, good wine, and a light dinner after a trip to the beach with the dogs. You can each outside on a very nice patio, or you can eat inside.

We stayed in Monterey but took a day trip to Carmel. Accordingly, we did not stay at the Cypress Inn, but did choose to eat there (Terry's Lounge). The hotel is co-owned by Doris Day and her business partner Dennis LeVett. Fortunately, it has retained its 1920's ambience. It was a beautiful day, and we chose to eat outside. My... More

Sadly we didn't stay at this hotel but we spent most of our time there😊 Food good, Terry's bar great ambience, great bar staff, friendly & informative. Great beers & cocktails. Not cheap but worth it. As dog- botherers a great place to hang out. Sadly dogs not allowed In bar😕

This delightful restaurant at the Cypress Inn welcomes your dog along with you! There is a beautiful outdoor courtyard with heaters for cool evenings as well as a comfortable indoor dining and lounge area. The food was great (delicious shrimp scampi) and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Great choice for dinner when traveling with your four-legged companion!

We were seated outside in the patio area, which was quaint and charming. Since I am a huge Doris Day fan, this was a treat to see the Doris Day memorabilia. The food was tasty but not anything special. The service could have been better...we were not attended to very often and little details were left unattended to but the... More

Visiting the beautiful 17 mile drive in Monterey, we were getting hungry and instead of getting robbed at Pebble Beach, we went into Carmel to find some food. This magnificent little town is an attraction on its own but you can find a large amount of eateries, restaurants and more here. We stepped into Terry's lounge not because we are... More

We stopped by Terry's late one afternoon to relax with a glass of wine after a day on the road. There is a nice patio, equipped with heaters which were in use during our visit. The server was friendly and there was plenty to choose from on the wine list. We are sorry we did not make it back for... More

Year round one can dine on the patio at the Cypress Inn served by the kitchen of Terry's Lounge. Inside, there are tables for a rainy day or one can relax in the living room and munch goodies from the same menu. I'm especially fond of the 'lollipop' lamp chops and the sand dabs. Guests of the hotel enjoy a... More
