Happened upon this restaurant when another place we tried had over an hour wait. So glad we were "forced" to look elsewhere. The food was spectacular as was the service, and the table by the fireplace made it even better.
My friend ordered the green...eggs and ham and said it was the best she'd had. I had avocado toast with a poached egg and a side of truffle mushrooms. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious.More
Horrible. I feel robbed. I ordered a matcha green tea latte, with almond milk, a small berry pistachio cake, and two round ball like treats (coconut chai and almond). The matcha latte was made with whole milk which had caused me horrific stomach pain as...I'm lactose intolerant!! I specifically asked for almond milk or oat milk and was told their almond milk was made in house so I opted for that. Yet I was given regular milk. And my health has suffered!!! As for the pastries I was only given the round small ball like treats in a baggie. When I arrived home 76 miles away from Carmel, I was both disappointed that the cake was not in the bag, and I had a stomach ache. All of this was about $20!!! The worst experience. If you visit make sure you get what you pay for, and check it before you leave the shop especially if you're from out of town. I so wish I could get a refund or some compensation for this horrible literally stomach aching experience.More
We go to Carmel Belle every time we're in Carmel, and it never disappoints! Great food, quick service (order at the counter and they bring it to the table). Great place for coffee and a quick snack, breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend.
This is a neat spot for grabbing breakfast. Plenty of seating outside. Quite a few options on the menu for breakfast. You order your food inside and then take a table outside with a number card. Tea/coffee/juices are prepared next counter over. Food is fresh,...locally sourced and delicious. Owner is a friendly guy. Recommend.More
This would be a really nice place to eat once we are allowed to eat inside again. It was really hot and we got lucky and a table with an umbrella opened up. They had two different menus and places to order, but you could...order at either one from either menu. Good enough to return once inside dining opens up.More
Not to be missed, this local gem of a restaurant is so enjoyable and delicious!
New local owners (who are very friendly) have recently taken over and the food and service have remained reliable and solid. They use local and fresh ingredients in their food....Love their avocado toast, always my go to there: you have optional ingredients to select from to customize your foods. I like that they prepare their foods in a more healthy way, like I would prepare at home (not over use of oils or fats). You can find a lot of healthy options on the menu to nourish your body all beautifully presented. They have a juice and coffee bar as well.
Highly recommended for tourists and locals alike.More
A considerably small place with an open-space kitchen that focuses on locally sourced, organic dishes. Farm-to-table concept with plenty of breakfast and lunch choices. I highly recommend their salads and morning toasts, avocado with drizzled olive oil and fresh sea salt is a total must!
We went to Belle for lunch, after my daughter found it for us. She had eaten there on another trip to Carmel. We all enjoyed our choices! Great tomato soup! Nice grilled grafton cheese sandwich, with great bread. My husband loved his quality meatloaf sandwich,...and my daughter loved her avocado, cheese and arugula salad with great vinaigrette dressing. The organic coffee was some of the finest I have had, and I am a coffee snob. The bread and butter were delicious as well.It is super casual, which we liked. No-one rushed us, and we all loved our meals.
The servers worked together a good team , and it was a clean, inviting atmosphere.
I would return often if I lived near Carmel, as opposed to the other side of the country.More
