We visited after our trip to the Spa next block down. The spa recommended this spot and they were right! Service, food and wine were for the foodies in us.

Had a lovely Greek meal here. Food was delicious. Got seated straight away despite restaurant being almost full. Half way through meal chef came out kitchen to serenade a honeymooning couple and staff all started playing instruments. Was a lovely, surprising touch. Would definitely recommend and Carmel is beautiful, quaint place too highly worth a visit.

A local shop owner recommended this place. The smell of the food as we walked through the door sold me, and then to be serenaded by the staff was like being transported to the Mediterranean in an instant. Fresh and fantastic food. The gyro platter surprised me with its wonderful spices, the fresh bread, calamari and baklava made me want... More

Even at 12.30pm it was a full house! We arrived in at 12 with only a few tables seated and 30 mins later it was completely full! Sign of an incredible restaurant. Everything that followed confirmed that for us! We tried to go here our first evening in Carmel and we arrived to a full restaurant at 7.30pm no tables... More

Evening before a wedding, gathered here with siblings and cousins. Food was excellent. Service was excellent staff very friendly and engaging. Singing wait- and kitchen- staff a plus. Facility is small and can get loud inside. Reservations seem necessary if you want to be sure of a table.

We chose this restaurant because of the high reviews. No doubt the owner takes pride in his restaurant, he greets and welcomes all his guests. Also has trained all his staff superior customer service skills. They work together as a team. The food was good and a very nice atmosphere. Great prices and value. I would recommend this place and... More

It is really worth going to this place. Our two dishes, pasta with shrimp and lamb, were excellent. Besides that, the environment is really special. The owners and the waitresses are extremely friendly. We had joyful moments and were delighted by their special care with everything. They make you feel at home.

This place is rated the number 1 restaurant in Carmel so we gave it a try for lunch and were not disappointed. My wife had the great Greek salad and I had a gyro. Both were fabulous and the lamb/beef was so tender and flavorful. Tiny place but service is fast and friendly so we didn't have to wait to... More

We came here because it was the #1 rated restaurant in Carmel, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great, and the calamari was perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth good. I have a feeling I'll also be dreaming of the pesto sauce on the shrimp and lobster ravioli. One of those meals I'll wish I could eat over... More

Dining at Dametra Café was a fun experience. We arrived for lunch around 1:45 on a Tuesday in mid-June and were surprised to find a wait for a table at that time, expecting that most diners would be finished by then. We were told to sit at the bar where we were offered some complimentary bread that was excellent. After... More
