We will definitely be back. We are touring the area and this was an excellent find! Great patio with a fun atmosphere.

We love dining on the patio because the atmosphere is amazing. You can eat outside year-round because of Carlsbad's mild climate (plus they have heaters). Delicious food and good service!

Good Mexican food for a fair price. I like the salsa or hotsauce on the table. Although is not especially hot, I enjoyed. Their chicken and beef dishes are all outstanding, I opted for a beef burro and chicken enchilada combo. Great place for groups and families. Have a large nice bar area as well.

They have a special lunch that includes margaritas. There is outdoor seating. I really liked the food.

We got an order of nachos to munch during the 1st presidential debate....our order came in a 8 x 10 pan and was totally yummy! We went back the next afternoon for a lunch of Mexican soups, which were very good. Recommend eating here.

As soon as I tried the corn chips and salsa, we should have left. Chips were as hard as fragments of plastic and tasted so stale. Salsa was more like spiced, watery tomato juice. When I complained, the waiter brought fresher chips. My companion, a vegetarian, asked what is used to fry them. Lard! I haven't seen ard-fried chips in... More

We dined here twice on this trip. The setting is very traditional with the old California adobe feel. The service is very good, and the food is reasonable. It's a good place to go with friends to have casual conversations in a setting that takes us back to the 60's beach cantinas.

We stayed for a long lunch into dinner and didn't feel rushed out. It was nice to relax in the beach weather, have a Margarita and enjoy the day. The asada burrito was excellent. Crab enchilada and tacos are also good. The afternoon happy hour deal is the margarita and it is likely the most popular drink. The patio is... More

Would suggest outdoor dining unless you prefer darker sports bars. Beer is served cold with frosted mugs. Of course, Mexican food is good and plentiful

Norte has one of the most enjoyable patios in Carlsbad Village. Unfortunately the food was not as good as it's been in past years. It seems like the menu has been pared down as well. We also had some difficulty getting properly made top shelf Margaritas. But...if you have time...Happy Hour is GREAT. The $4 house margarita is pretty good... More
