Just had dinner here and it was fantastic! From welcome to good bye I couldn’t have asked for more. Our waiter Andrew gave us a friendly greeting and took great care of us. My wife and I had the house wine and calamari for starters...both a great choice. For dinner my wife had the salad with ahi tuna she got the smaller portion and was very happy. Myself I got the warm lobster roll and it is incredible! I can tell you we have been to Carlsbad many times and this was the first time at the green dragon but definitely won’t be our last! Eat here you won’t regret it!More

This restaurant is hidden in a free museum and doesn't even look like from the outside. Full of surprises about Civil War at a glance along with food & drink to enjoy. It's abit more expensive than fast food but worth it. Quality and fresh...ingredients help make it delightful. It's a place kids can come, it's casual & cozy place to eat. My favorite is their flat bread pizzas & salads along with burgers. It's a full bar with TV. It's nice since it's not loud either. They can handle groups and have a rooms to rent for your needs. I found this by finally stopping by after passing it for a good year. I stop in often. Close to the Carlsbad Outlets if you are visiting. The direct restaurant door is on the right side facing the front. Lots of parking Hope you like it as much as I do. It's an experience worth going to at least once to see brief info on the Civil War and Calif. connection along with a tasty mealMore

There are a few other places in North County that claim to have Maine lobster rolls but not like these! The other places use frozen claw and knuckle meat only. Green Dragon has tail meat, claw, and knuckle and it doesn't taste soggy from freezing...and then defrosting. Plenty of other great menu items as well!More

First time here. Everything ordered was really good. Not noisy like so many restaurants. Owner ended up giving our party a tour of museum which was a great added bonus.

Are here with my 5 yo. Too many TV’s so my little one was staring at the walls. Service was pretty quick. Great assortment of food items with great portion size. Food comes out hot. Did a beer sampler which is 4 pours for $10....There was an error on the flat bread and they made a whole. We one for us. Didn’t get dessert or see museum. Large parking lot but pretty full.More

Had reservation for 5:45 P.M. Sat. Nov. 2 through Open Table which showed it qualified for Happy Hour & $19.95 2 course Special. Arrived at 5:40 & was told I couldn't get the Special because it ends at 5:30. The waitress went to the front...desk to discuss the problem with the manager who refused to honor the Special. We ordered 2 courses & 3/4 through the first course, they brought the second course. My wife complained to the waitress who apologized for the situation. Before we left, I looked up Open Table & saw the Special every night until and including 6 P.M.. I showed this to the waitress & advised she inform the management. The food is good & why we had returned this time. Needless to say they lost a customer over the $2-3 difference in price between the Special and regular price. I will also notify Open Table.More

Good menu of varied offerings. We chose the Shepherd's pie & it was very good & had nice flavor w/o being over the top. Unfortunately we did not get to view the museum but it sounded interesting.

I went here specifically for the lobster roll. They have a few different kinds. I got the Maine lobster roll. It was very large and very good. I was not disappointed. The lobster was stuffed into a huge piece of buttered grilled brioche bread. Our...server, Matt, was great as well. We also liked the place mats with interesting historical information. They actually explained why a Boston tavern in Carlsbad, CA is named the Green Dragon. The restaurant is conveniently located right off of I-5.More

Went to the Green Dragon this evening. I had the blue crab cakes. The food was tasty but a little too cool. It should have been warmer

What a great place! Love the lobster rolls. They have 3 different kinds- Connecticut- with warm butter, California with avocado and bacon and , Maine- cold with lobster and lemon aioli. Delicious with a great side salad. The brussel sprouts are fantastic as well as...the chowder fries- get them with the waffle sweet potato fries- awesome. The museum portion is great as well, lots to learn and see and a great reminder of our country's history. Tourist or local will love this placeMore
