Probably the fastest service ever! Great sticky buns, clam chowder (for the west coast), french dip. And a pretty good Bloody Mary! We will be back!

We are staying at the Carlsbad Inn, slept in and went for a late breakfast, bloody mary was spot on, service was great. I had the King Neptune omelet, wife had the avocado crepe, great food, reasonable price. Going back for sure on this trip.

We were in Carlsbad for a soccer tournament and happened to stop here for lunch. The food was surprisingly good. But the thing that made this place extra special was the staff. Very friendly and nice at this place. Definitely recommend it if you are in the area looking for a casual good place for lunch .

Went to breakfast one day and lunch another. Very friendly and not that outrageous price wise. The picture is of their Mermaid salad - yum! The seafood was fresh and not too much mayo. For breakfast, had the cinnamon bread French toast. Didn't even need syrup. A definite stop for breakfast and lunch if you are in the area.

Try the corned beef hash - superb. The ambiance is great Service very efficient and the food excellent. Outdoor gas heating if it is chilly.

Very good breakfast, great coffee, and great service. This small and quiet place has a lot going for it. The whole staff endeavor to make your experience a good one. From classic breakfast dishes to the more eclectic tastes, they have it. Definitely worth a stop for breakfast or lunch.

My mother, teenage niece and I had breakfast in this eatery. Order an omelet, it come with red potatoes or fruit and toast. Get there early or it can get very tricky to find parking.

We stayed at the Carlsbad Inn, and this restaurant is just across the parking lot. Hands down, I had the best omelette I've ever had. It was very light and fluffy. I had breakfast potatoes which were tasty and not greasy at all. My husband had hash browns and they were just crunchy enough on the outside but soft on... More

We stayed in Carlsbad for 3 nights at the Inn next door to this restaurant in May '16. We absolutely loved having such an inviting, clean, and delicious place to have breakfast each morning. The service was good and the food was delicious. Great little town to walk around too with shopping and gorgeous beaches.

This place is just so awesome. We called ahead of time the first time for breakfast to put our name in when they said it was a 10-15 minute wait for breakfast, but when we got there, there was no wait. The orange juice tastes fresh squeezed, the portions are big and worth it, the blueberry muffins (warmed) are tasty,... More
