We sat on the patio with our small dog and enjoyed the vertical succulent gardens. The food came out and it was both beautiful and scrumptious. We all went for something on the sweeter side. The berries were plentiful, the pastry was flaky, the waffle was fluffy yet crisp and the pancakes were divine. Next visit we'll try savory.

Great location, Carlsbad beach is just across the street. Fresh pastries, nice breakfast and friendly, professional services. You will enjoy stopping here for breakfast or even for lunch. I've discovered cafe Elysa on my very first breakfast with my son, when we moved to Carlsbad quite a while ago. And since then I've been here many, many times and never... More

The food here is great. We always visit for breakfast. They always grant our requests to alter the menu a little with no complaints. This place does get busy and it is sometimes rough to get in and order. But obviously that is for a reason, they are excellent. If you are looking for a great homemade meal this is... More

My husband and I stopped by Café Elysa for lunch on a sunny day and we sat in their lovely outdoor patio and had a really nice, relaxing lunch. I ordered the Very Berry salad and it was delicious. The berries were sweet and the ingredients blended well together. My husband ordered a hamburger. We shared so I got to... More

This is a small little place with a great personality, wonderful staff, and tasty treats. The stuffed French toast, coffee and quiche are wonderful. The omelets are average. We sat outside and enjoyed the people and beautiful weather. The young lady behind the counter is a gem!

This is really a fun place as you can sit in front of the fire and enjoy your fresh brewed coffee and some the fresh made pastries every morning. They also do great omelets, hash browns and fresh made waffles. You can evne walk to the beach 2 blocks away when finished. Great service too.
