I would say that this is one of the better places to eat while being at Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Here you’ll get at good meal instead of the other places which are more into fast food. The burgers are good and they offer a good value for the kids, all kids also get a paper car to assemble while waiting... More

My wife and I had a quick supper and enjoyed it, especially the young waitress who was so new she didn't have a name tag. My wife had a good tuna salad sandwich and a strawberry sundae. Pet peeve: they continue to refuse to print soft drink prices in the menu, so I refuse to order one.

The food is great, similar to Danny's. The food is great i recommend thwor smoothies. The theme and style is classic and it gives you the atmosphere of the 60s.

They give the kids a paper/cardboard car to put together the food is great, dessert was awesome I would recommend the banana split. Big plus for me is that they have something for everyone chicken tenders for the kids, great burgers including a vegetarian or vegan if you remove the cheese and mayo burger

We stopped in for lunch. A bowl of chili sounded good. I did notice that menu said the chili had no beans. This was the most non-chili chili that we had ever experienced. The meat was extremely shredded, so that it was a mass of stringy meat in a tomato sauce. You can not get a spoonful. It comes up... More

The middle of the place has an elevated train track with a couple of trains continuously running on the track. The decor and the wait staff were decked out to take you back to the 1950's. The menu also takes you back to the 50's with its cold beverages (milk shake, root beer float, cherry soda, etc.) and eats (burgers... More

Ruby's is a chain restaurant. It is a typical diner complete with average quality diner food. The wait staff are all young, I would guess mostly high schoolers. The service was slow and mediocre. The highlight was getting to spend time with my grandkids after the movies and enjoying a truly excellent chocolate shake!

The turkey burger is my usual choice here. But the last 3 visits have been not good. The turkey patty tastes like dirty grill. Don't know if they cook the beef patties on same grill or not but the taste is awful! The fries are fine fyi.

Went there for dinner because my daughter wanted to eat there. Didn't have to wait very long for a table. Waitress was not very friendly and it didn't feel like the AC was working. Very noisy with lots of kids. Food wasn't very good.
