My wife and I recently enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the patio at Gregario's Italian restaurant in Carlsbad village. It was a late lunch therefore not crowded. A very good menu and reasonably priced. Interestingly they offer "regular" sized dishes or "small" options. We opted for the "regular" and found it was more than we could handle. Food was well... More

If you like Italian food then this has to be the place for you. First I tried the chicken soup. That wasn't the best soup and for about 10 dollars I think it was overpriced. Then we had the meatball sliders. Those were delicious. I loved the fried peppers and onions on it. The main dish was just the pasta... More

We walked around and saw several options in Carlsbad for Italian. We settled on this one for the atmosphere and location. We ordered soup, salad, 3 entrees and nothing really stood out. I felt like what we make at home is better... we won't be back.

We went here with my family for my birthday. I was looking forward to having shrimp parmigiano It was hard as a rock. My moms eggplant parmigiano was ok. The kids pizza was awful. The birthday cannoli was the only thing good. The reviews were good, but the food was not good. It was expensive also. Definitely not worth it.... More

Eight of us indulged and shared. Wow, this was good food. Eggplant Parmesan, Pizza, Grilled Chicken Pesto Pinini, Ceasar Salad, etc. You name it - it was all good!

First-Carlsbad is a lovely beachtown with beautiful well manicured buildnings with a lot of dining options. We tried Gregorio's as we wanted Italian and was delighted. Very nice outdoor pation on the second floor and a very pleasant waiter Amy. Food was ok not the best but nothing wrong just up to our own tastebuds.

We went for dinner on Fathers Day. We are members of the Passports Unlimited group which usually gets the second meal at no charge. Amy, our waitress was delightful so we had a good meal (the food was good too). Then came the check and we offered our Passport cards. We were told by Amy that the manager had announced... More

We have dined at Gregorios several times and while the food and service are good, the last evening we were there, it was very much a sports bar atmosphere with a large screen tv blaring and screaming fans. The noise level made conversation very difficult.
