Fish for splendid trout, pay by weight and have it beautifully grilled to different marinades! Delicious with their many side dishes. 2 things that almost spoiled it for us: 1) they do not accept card payments and nearest cash machine is in the next town...2) only one young lady spoke english and owner almost refused us to sit inside because we were foreigners - probably worried about us bringing the coronavirus!!! We were 5. Business dinner. We caught 2 trouts (which is not cheap here), ordered sides and then discovered than this restaurant accepts cash only. And we didn’t have enough cash among us. The nearest ATM is maybe 15km away in the nearest village. It...wasn’t nice or impressive dinner with business partners. World is getting digital, modern, smaller. “Cash only” should be left in the past.More
This “fishermens café” offers a unique experience by having you catch your fish which the restaurant then cooks for you. The price is a little high but the experience for young folks can be priceless. Our grandchildren, one boy and one girl, got a real...charge out of catching fish. That experience will live with them forever. The location has two artificial ponds, one stocked with trout, the other sturgeon. You first catch the fish (in our case more than we could eat so we took some “home” to our Airbnb) then wait while your dinner is cooked. They say "smoked" but it is grilled over nice local hardwoods. Generally, flavors include Thai, Indian & "Regular". The accompanied cooked vegetables (Indian spices used) and potato fries were excellent. Along with good beers and kvas, we really enjoyed the meal. Our party of 13, locals and tourists, had a great time. I recommend this as a unique experience in recreation and dining.More
The restaurant is in a beautiful location. You can catch fish, which then cook. Food is delicious. Lots of fun for kids. But the service is not very good, forget to put salt and pepper, do not clean the tables for a long time.
Brings together the fun of catching ones on food and catching a fish. (Albeit my fishermen friends say the fish jump on to the hooks) but I can assure everyone that is not always the case. My daughter & I tried for nearly an hour...before giving up. Been many many times over the years. Well worth the drive and nice day out in the countryside.More

A great place to spend your exciting and delicious time in the beautiful natural surroundings. For example, a great place to celebrate your birthday with a small group of friends. We visited four people. Two fish (sturgeon (2 kg) and trout (1.5 kg)) were cured...in 20 minutes. The fish are very delicious, you can choose from at least a few spices. We could not eat all the fish, so the rest was packed with us to take home. At the same time, this is a great place to come with younger children who will love the well-equipped playgrounds. I highly recommend, we will definitely come back here.More
If visiting Trakai, this fish restaurant is a unique place to stop. First impression is very good: outdoor seating next to fish ponds occupied by (mostly) locals, many choosing to go fishing and let the restaurant grill it (from Lithuanian to Thai and Indian style)....While it's exciting (if not horrifying) to see the staff catching fish then smashing it dead, our fish turn out to be overcooked and very dry. To be honest, we like appetisers like smoked eel better.More

We were on our way to Kaunas and accidentally found this restaurant. They own a pond with farm fish (trout and sturgeon). They catch the fish as order comes in (the menu says "smoked" but it's more like baked. If really smoked, it can take...a few hours or more). You can order by fish (not by half or by grams). So one dish is about 1kg and for 2 people. It takes about an hour to cook. So come with plenty of time. This can be stopped on your way to Trakai castle. The atmosphere is so relaxing and peaceful. We unexpectedly had a great lunch today.More
This restaurant offers fishing in two artificial lakes one of them holding rainbow trout. The guests are offered to fish their own trout and have it smoked, cooked or spiced and vacuum packed. The fish can be eaten at the restaurant or taken away. I...love fly fishing so I go and fish with my own gear. Usually 4-5 fish at a time. The quality of the trout is excellent and the swift filleting, spicing and vacuum packing of the fish keeps it fresh in the freezer all winter long. The grounds and surroundings are kept in perfect condition. A restaurant and fishing place well worth the visit.More
