When hiking Tigers nest you find this restaurant about halfway up. It's a very nice break from a very hard hike. You can rent horses to reach this point. They serve a buffet style meal and drinks. Great way to relax on this trek.

The Taktsang Cafeteria is located at almost midway from the starting point of the trek to the Taktsang Monastery. The cafeteria offers a great view of the Monastery and the surrounding valley. The trek to the Taktsang monastery is very exhausting and people generally take rest for around 15 mins at the Taktsang Cafeteria maintained by The Bhutan Tourism Corporation... More

This is basically just under the half way point and also as far as the ponies will take you if you are so inclined not to hike. Lovely view of the monastery. Tea is offered and so is a buffet lunch. The typical Bhutanese "chilies with cheese" is a bit spicier here given that the cafe also caters to the... More

There aren't many options for food/drinks available here, but considering that anything that comes here has to be brought on foot after climbing for around 500 metres, it seems okay. Tea/Coffee/food is hot/warm enough, and it the place is quite spacious. Washrooms are clean.

It's the coffee shop with the most insane view!! Not much to do with the coffee though!! It's slightly more than 50 % of the journey up, sit there, enjoy the view, gear up for the final stretch

For me to reach this landmark about half way to the Taktsang monastery climb, was a big encouragement and respite. Very well located and with amazing views of the final climb, they serve very good coffee and tea.

Buffet is of ok standard but definitely not good for what it charges. The operator of the restaurant should really review on what they offer.

Had reviewed the Taktsang trek and temple and forgot to mention the café at 2/3 point. Actually not much to mention except the views are great!! Getting here on the way up brings a sigh of relief as it marks the half way (more like 2/3) way up. Time for short rest, tea and biscuits (which were not bad), before... More

It is a relief to come across the cafeteria after a strenuous hike up and halfway down. The views are great and the food is hot. Thats about all the positives. Food is bland and overpriced. Tea/coffee is very sweet and no option of black/green tea.

We had visited buthan on 19.12.16 to 24.12.16. While taktsang trek we had a break for coffee at taktsang cafeteria, enjoyed very good coffee and biscuits as CP. People should visit the place and enjoy the coffee .
