We celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary by having dinner at the sales here. We took advantage of the early bird special which is served between 5 and 6 PM. It included a colorful salad and we each had salmon with city citrus glaze. This was...More
Looked at yelp and decided to get the rack of lamb. Looked very robust. When the meal arrived it was by far the smallest rack of lamb I have ever seen. Asked the waiter why such a difference from online photo and he replied some...More
We have been “vacation residents” in Cambria for over 20 years. The Sows Ear was always very highly rated amongst tourists and locals. We hadn’t dined there in over a year because our last experience wasn’t “ so great”! Ok, so we thought we would...More
We went early and were not alone. It wasn’t packed but lots of diners. The earlymeals are a bit smaller they say, but my Chicken & Dumplings was plenty of food. The pork chops in olallaberry chutney was also excellent. The service was outstanding.
Quaint, quiet, old fashioned dining.
Food was tasty, cooked properly
Staff was friendly and seemed to work as a team well which is always refreshing.

I called The Sow's Ear tonight; they are not set up to take online reservations. You can call them at 805/927-4865. If you call before they open at 5:00PM, you can leave a message and they will call you back; which is what we do.
They are open on Valentine's Day from 5:00PM - to no set closing time which is usually 9:00PM.
They have a special Valentine's Day menu of:
Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail, Choice of soup or salad along with their famous flower pot bread.
You can go to The Sow's Ear, Cambria, CA. It shows the menu selections and pictures of inside the restaurant. I always request a table by the window; my husband and I like to look out and view the quaint little town of Cambria.
Enjoy the delicious dinner you will have. Afterwards, take a walk around the town.
Happy Hearts Day,
