The portions of food are generous. The burgers are the best. The spaghetti was very good along with ribs and salads. What a shame they don't serve real beer. Craft beer is fake. Get some real beer such as Coors, Millers, Budweiser or Heineken.

Great local diner food. I was so disappointed it was closed for remodeling this visit. It has always been one of the local places I frequent on my trips to Cambria. I will be excited to see the new place when it opens.

Great News. The Pine Tree Inn is now closed. It is being upgraded into wine tasting. They are doing great improvements to the building. It is looking like it will be much better for wine tasting than it was as a restaurant.

Stopped in prior to a day at Hearst Castle. Coffee was good and refilled often. Wife had pancakes. I had the special of the day omlette which was bacon, cheese and avacado. Pretty good. Hash browns average.English muffin a little stale and slightly burned from being toasted.

We stopped in the charming township of Cambria on our way to LAX from Hearst Castle and decided to bypass the bigger restaurants in the hope of enjoying a more homely dining experience. We should have chosen better! We were the only customers at lunch time and we could see that a full plate of fries had been left uneaten... More

We stopped in Cambria during lunchtime and didn't know where to go. The restaurant looked promising from the outside, but once we're inside we're not that sure. Because we were the only customers (at weekend lunchtime) and the waitress didn't look friendly. The menu options were pretty limited; mostly variations of burger. Though not feeling so good about this, we... More

If we had read the reviews, we would have missed out on a pleasant , well prepared breakfast in a clean but older restaurant. Definitely much better than the reviews suggest.. today anyway..

We walked in around 11:30 and immediately got a bad vibe from the frumpy unfriendly waitress .... "Sit anywhere you want" she groused .... We then sat for more than 10 minutes waiting for someone to ask us if we wanted coffee or to at least acknowledge our presence. Others around us looked similarly irritated as they sat seemingly abandoned... More

My wife and I were visiting family in the Cambria area and we needed a bite to eat our first evening in the area. We have eaten at this restaurant in the past but I believe it has changed owners in the years since our last visit. The food all looking appetizing and the service was good however, that the... I did not see anything that justified some of these really low ratings. Neither did I see anything above average. OK is about the thing that sums it up. I would not be a good choice for handicapped individuals. Stairs to go up.
