I had the lentil soup and the falafel platter for lunch. Along with a drink - it is a little pricey as the cost of this meal was around $21. I have eaten at other Middle eastern resturants and found their vegetarian combo plate was not that great hummus was not that tasty. The service was good and frendly and the place is very clean. Will go back and try one of their Chicnen kabob's

I love lamb and this place had the most delicious lamb that was very reasonable and plentiful. I highly recommend.

Not many middle eastern restaurants in town but they had good food and friendly service. Had the tri-tip gyros which had more of a dill and sweet spice flavor which surprised me a bit but the hummus was great.

Yes, I would consider this a fast food place and the prices are a little higher than your typical fast food eateries. However, the food at Mama's Hummus is not only different and delicious but much healthier than traditional fast food restaurants. I had the...veggie plate because I couldn't decide what to order. It is "all vegetarian served with hummus, Baba Ghannouji, tabouli, two falafel balls, pickles and pita bread." I thought the pickles were some type of pepper - didn't really eat it. The tabouli and hummus were delicious - the best I have had in a long time! The falafel was very good and satisfying - wish I could have had more! The Baba Ghannouj was absolutely amazing!!! I spread a lot on the pita and topped it with the tabouli and was in absolute heaven! My son ordered the Tri Tip Shawerma and didn't care for it - I think he may not have been feeling well. So, I ended up eating it (3 hours later I am still full!!!). I personally thought my dish was much better but it might have been because I was already full. I am looking forward to my next visit and can't wait to have the Baba Ghannouj again!! I gave 4 stars because our experience is limited and will update after another visit. Note: Mama's Hummus is located in a little shopping center next to the Roxy Theater. Wraps start at $6 and my veggie plate was $13. If you have people in your group that have different tastes you can eat outside on the common patio. There is a Thai/Peru place next door, Jimmy Johns Sandwiches, Jamba Juice and Baja Fresh. This would be a great place to grab a bite to eat and then go enjoy a movie. By the way, I saw a movie at the Roxy last week and the seats were big comfortable recliners!More

If you are on the way to the doctor or a movie in this area do not just walk by. Go in because the food is fantastic. All the usual items are there, shawerma, falafel, kabobs and the many side dishes like; hummus, baba ghannouj,...grape leaves and of course baklava. The flavors and textures are excellent. And you get a good amount of food for the very fair price.More

I applaud the effort here, gyros and falafel are not that common in Ventura county. I had the falafel wrap, not the best in the world, but pretty good. They have gyros and salads, as well as hummus. Some southern California crossovers, like tritip wraps.

This was a pleasant surprise to find. The food was good, the people nice, the seating halfway between restaurant and fast food. Most times we just order to go with the partials (not full meal), and it's good. I think when you order just the...wrap or whatever - without the meal - you get more filling, and I'd prefer that anyway. The prices are good for what they serve.More

My favorite is the chicken schwarma wrap. I've had the dinner also but prefer the wrap. Chicken slightly better than beef. Husband lived in Middle East and says schwarma are good but quality of bread is not very good. I don't know the difference so...it's fine to me. Desserts are good. They aren't always open during business hours and seem to close early. Place is always clean.More

Great Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurant with traditional dishes and salads. I have been here multiple times and have enjoyed everything that I have ordered. A casual atmosphere, with ordering at the counter. Great choice for lunch or dinner.

Having grown up on mediterranean food, I appreciate the convenience of having a fast casual place like Mama's Hummus close by. Whether it's for their terrific lentil soup, delicious salads, vegetarian dishes for my daughter or flavorful shawarmas- there's something for whatever mood you're in...or how hungry you are. Service is fast and everything is freshly made. One of the handful of go to places in Camarillo for our family.More
