The atmosphere at The Old Clubhouse is one of a relaxed old-world style golf pub serving up delicious pub food and locally sourced dinner offerings before becoming the host of nightly revelry for locals and guests alike.

We had lunch here twice during our visit to the area. The staff were friendly and the service was good We had the fish and chips and the macaroni and cheese on both occasions and all our food was served piping hot and was very...tasty It's a pretty busy place with reduced seating as a result of covid so probably best to bookMore

A busy clubhouse pub with tables outside. We had nice drinks and a good dinner with helpful and quick service. Stunning location. Highly recommend

Enjoyed a good lunch here whilst on holiday. Meal choices were varied and reasonably priced. Strongly recommended for visitors to the area along with golf course players.

Ordered ice-cream twice during a recent stay and enjoyed sitting out in the sun. Tables outside well spaced out and inside hand sanitiser was available. Excellent customer service both times from a very pleasant young woman.

Staff was wearing face shields and all our temperatures were taken. Occupied tables were spaced out. The meal was delicious. A must starter - haggis nachos. I've had haggis before and didn't really enjoy it but this was moreish.

Not sure if our experience was due to Covid 19 and the staff being limited but we went twice during a stay in Machrihanish. First time was just a drink, which was ok but £11 for 2 Kopperberg ciders is a bit OTT. We did...ask if we could eat but the place was fully booked according to a man we spoke to prior to our visit but they gave out tables when we were actually there????. Second time, next day (food is very limited just now in this area) we went for a drink at lunch time (@2) and decided as we could get a table to have a light lunch. Ordered garlic bread with cheese and onion rings. Bread was ok, onion rings were greasy....actually sitting in grease. Took ages to get served as locals getting served first and one staff member (girl with long blonde hair) was especially friendly with them and a bit surly and snappy with others that were visitors. The difference was obvious. Inside also needed a bit of a clean.....loads of dead flies on window sill, table sticky....the girls were pushed though and looked like they needed a bit of help. We had to ask for menus twice and even when they came (were being printed) we had to go and get ourselves, despite it being table service. No sign of names being taken either for tracing should there be any cases of Covid. Might be better outwith being busy but definitely appeared in favour of locals, chatting and laughing with them, snapping at others. The girl with long dark hair was working hard but not supported by the other one. Wouldn’t go back.More

Went into The Old Clubhouse today as a family of 3 for a coffee to be told that they couldn’t serve us due to the fact that they were too busy setting up the place for tonight, however it was ok for the people sitting...at the bar to be served drinks. Completely shocking customer service, think staff should be taught some manners and how to deal with the public !!More

No dogs allowed but you are allowed to smoke at the entrance with your feet on the threshold and the door open. Seems there is rules for locals and rules for paying guests.
