I have been going to Giamela's for over 30 years. The place is a hole in the wall with about 7 booths and tables set up inside, pick nick style tables outside on the patio. You can order a small or large sandwich. My favorite is the hot pastrami. The pastrami is shredded and stews in juices while waiting for... More

It's been a long time since I had a Giamela's Sub, so I decided to see if it was still as good as it used to be. The answer is "YES". Big, soft rolls, plenty of cold cuts and tons of tomato, onion, pickle and seasoning. It sure brought back some fond memories of my younger days growing up in... More

These are the best subs in Burbank; my favorite, pepper steak, but the meatball subs are equally delish! Get them with "everything" for the full experience. The small is truly big enough for two unless you're extra hungry. There's usually a line, but even then you're in and out the door in just a few minutes. There are tables inside... More

Fresh ingredients and great meatballs always sum up my visits. The pickles are great and this has become a must stop after stumbling across is 7 years ago. The service is quick and friendly and the soup is a must on a gray day.

Great sandwiches awesome value big meaty turkey sandwiches. Diced pickles tomato onion mayo sesame seed roll. Tasty meaty. Steak and cheese is mouth watery. Very resonable prices. Sell great pizza too. One in sunland sells beer just a heads up. One in Atwater doesn't and Atwater is cash only. Cards accepted in sunland. Very fast service. Great meal everything.

Small hole in the wall with a small kitchen with a stove and a pot sitting on it, but out of that pot comes some of the best pepper steak, they put it on a roll and the load the pepper steak on then the have large serving spoons and load the chopped tomatoes, pickles and onions at your choosing,... I LOVE this place, I have been going here for 40+ years. The same guys have been working there forever. It's all cash but they have an ATM located inside in case you don't have cash on you. They will even put your toppings on the side if you want. Don't forget to tip them a buck or two :... More

I have been eating at this restaurant since I was a small kid. Being raised in nearby Atwater, it was one of the first restaurants there. Basically, the sandwiches made them famous and the pizza keeps people coming back. The pepper steak sandwiches have always been my favorite, the steak is chopped up and comes with bell peppers (cooked) and... More

It's a great sandwich...I had the turkey with mustard and toppings. I have driven by this place for almost 5 years and finally had an opportunity to try it. It's exactly what I thought it was going to be. A delicious huge simple sandwich. Next time I want to try to meatball sub.

The tuna sandwich here cannot be beat! I order it with the works, which means chopped onions, peppers and tomatoes. They offer cheese, which I pass on. The roll is perfect and the price is right. They also have at least 5-6 other kinds of meat sandwiches, but I can't give up the tuna. They have chips and soda. Simple... More
