If you’re in the mood for a classic throw back, Bob’s Big Boy is your choice. Their COVID guidelines were disappointing in that our family of 7 needed to be split into two tables. We would have preferred to sit at adjacent tables spaced appropriately,...but they could not accommodate that. The food was just as I remembered from my last visit at least 30 years ago - big juicy burgers, wonderful fries and onion rings, salads that come with all the sandwiches and burgers, and breakfast served all day. I was glad I asked for the salad dressing on the side, otherwise the salad comes drenched in the dressing. The burger on the combination plate is more like a Big Mac with 2 skinny patties on one bun, but the other burgers are thick and juicy and cooked just right. If you’re looking for a classic retro experience, Bob’s will deliver.More

I recently went when dining was allowed and their Covid-19 precautions are questionable. When I entered the lobby there was no one waiting and they do skip every other booth for seating and there is no seating in the bar area. I sat in a...booth and there was still tip left on the table from the previous people who sat. The bus boy took the tip money and placed paper menus/placemats down. I was a little appalled that the table/seat weren't cleaned as we sat down. Shortly after the waitress came by and still didn't clean the tables or seat. I asked the waitress if she could clean the table and she said the table was sanitized. Clearly it wasn't because there was still money from the previous people who sat there. I brought out my wipes and wiped the table and seats down and the waitress asked if I wanted to sit in another table I told her it was fine. While I was waiting for my food I also noticed there were no hand sanitizer provided by Bob's. Again, not a problem. I brought mine out. The employees had masks (some had it underneath their nose) and/or masks. When my food came out, it was still delicious. I ate it with my metal utensils (again not a big deal for me). So if you're particular to Covid it is safe to say the practices here are questionable. I suggest getting to go or do not go to this establishment for now. They also do have a car hop and their drive through window is open. I really do enjoy coming here, but I do know some people care bout Covid and some do not.More

While we're glad you enjoyed your meal, our team should always make sure our customers feel more than comfortable while dining with us. That said, we always clean off and sanitize our tables after a meal, but it sounds like a busser may have left...More

I grew up coming here all the time. Was back in town last month. Decor was still the same. The quality of food was such a let down. Brown gravey tasted burnt and stale. Was told it came out of a can. Might as well...take it off the menu.More

Chose to have my Mother's Day meal at the Car Hop Drive In. I started going to Bob's with my family in the 1940's. My husband and I would go to Bobs after our dates. Couldn't find a better place to end a fun evening....As we have been married for 54 years, that was quite a while ago. But this trip to Bob's was just as delicious as I remembered. The food was classically wonderful and having the meal topped off by a chocolate milkshake made it reminiscent of "days gone by". Thank you for keeping my memories alive and well. We will visit again!.More

Be prepared for a wait. Been coming to Bob's since I was a kid. Friday nights are classic car night. Very difficult to get a parking spot but a fun time to be had looking at old cars. Food is good, very much like an...old 50s coffee shop.More

Famous spot, so I checked it out. Food was OK. Eggs seemed tasteless. Great service though. There is a homeless person living on the bench at the front door. Not sure how people feel about that. Took a selfie in front of the famous sign.More

A realistic diner from the 1950's - we were lucky to get a table here. Arrived for lunch and were given a booth which was lovely. Food was good and served fairly quickly. Friendly staff. Felt like a film set to me - very typical...of an old fashioned diner. Really enjoyable meal. Parking outside. I think you are advised to book a table.More

This is not the drive-through window you may have become accustomed to. The sit-down restaurant is a nostalgic throwback to the 1950s and the early era of large diners. The service was prompt, courteous and the omelettes were tasty and well prepared. The plate included...potatoes and bread and was quite filling. Many other patrons were taking home food from the large meals offered.More

Bob's Big Boy is thankfully, a living, breathing example of diners and restaurants of the past. When walking through its doors, you feel like you are walking into 1962. The Big Boy chain is down to just a few locations, but fortunately for us, this...one is still going strong. The food is great, the staff is wonderful and ambiance is a blast. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast there during my quick LA business trip last year. Highly, highly recommend. And don't forget to snap your photo with the Big Boy!More

Yes, I believe so. At least I am sure they do in the summer months. You might want to try calling them directly and ask and ask about the hours.
